Well done Nkiadi for mentioning. Slow music has killed Congolese music indeed and at the rate we are going, it will sink deeper. Look at Nigerian music and Ivory Coast. Its because they are more dancable in pubs were music is meant to rock.
The other factor killing Congolese music as i have always stated, is the music industry inclining too much towards solo artists than groups or bands. Like this, group effort is minimal as most energy is wasted on one hotspot. I hope new bands with a unified vision will emerge the way it was when wenge, zaiko and extra musica just began.
