i have noticed n the last months from the release of original until ingeta ya mado and co that its like both fans and musicians themselves have found back some strong appetite for the dancing songs
and those songs seem to have overshadowed rumbas,not that rumbas have zero success,but fact is without naming anyone album whose generiques were seen as not strong enough are less hyped and on the other hand one artist who did according to people better than previous generiques now has got some consideration for his rumbas aswell
does it mean that we are back to the days  were an average or good at best generique can almost single handedly influence  positively or negativity popularity of album or maxi single
i would like to know your views about that guys

I agree with you all the way just a bit of history to start with, apart from couple songs of Grand Kalle, Tabu Ley & Franco rumba's are not really popular worldwide, I remember when I was young dance like Kwassa Kwassa had massive impact and then Ndombolo took Congolese music to an international dimension (along with Tshaku Libondas, Koyimbiko). You have people all over the world dancing to Ya Mado and plus the views of original has much more views than Fally's rumbas. So for me sebene's should take back no.1 place so Congolese can get popularity

I just want more sebene songs and for DRC musicians (Europe and Kinshasa) to stop with the decalle and continue with more sebene.

what i HAVE noticed is that some of these generiques are getting better and more structured like songs rather than just long bouts of yelling and guitar. maybe its just me.
