Just recently started immersing myself into this album (Bord Ezanga Kombo), was this album done after the jpsons, fallys, montana's left QLI?

Yes, Koffi was forced to regroup after the abrupt departure of the 2 gen of QL. If my memory serves me right, Bord Ezanga Kombo was promoted before the release Danger de Mort and was set to include everyone from 2 gen before they left. Montana and Suzuki(?) remained with the Mineurs for a bit, then went solo. The album subsequently was delayed over a year.

To avoid having another close Chef d'Orchestre leave (Suzuki/Fally etc.), he elvated Cindy. Suzuki and Babia, unfortuately, became minor figures when they returned. Binda Bass, Passe Kosse & Felly Tyson also were slowly abandoned. No sign of Cindy leaving Koffi at the moment. He even publically pondered having only female singers during BEK time.

I'm always surprised that the album got Disc d'Or, it lacked the quality  and structure of Monde Arabe.

Hmm ... I think Koffi can be good, when he wants to be, hence the success despite everything

if only koffi had accepted to hold that reunion wanted by montana,suzuki and joss diena,maybe we'd sitll have a true quartier latin,but yet again cindy(and mj30) have a "secret weapon" so they were in a better position should they being taken more seriously than just mere chorists,and this is what has happened,now eveen atalakus are under cindy's threat lol

the thing I don't get is he still had montana, shella, asso, gibson, suzuki, junior, babia  and they were credited on the album but didn't have any vocals why?

simply because many of the parts they were supposed to be allowed to sing in were transformed into cindy parts
shella for example explained that they were promised vocals when doing chorus and the days they were supposed to add their vocals they were either closed the door of studio or told come tomorrow,and the day after come tomorrow again and again.

see this is what i've been talking about, that cindy is a quartier latin killer because of her so many promising talents were ignored some had to abandon music or have tried going solo with no success because some people don't know who they are asso ferrari was right when he said in an interview that ever since fally's departure koffi changed with them, cindy just keeps taking so many people's spot she even sings other people's vocals in concerts when that person is right there present and she goes from singing to actually start doing animation whoever is in quartier cindy right now just do yourselves a favour and leave as long as cindy's there you won't get noticed unfortunately
