After the huge succes of Mayaula Mayoni's album Amour au Kilo from 1993 (he sung in Ousmane Bakayoko, l'Amour Au Kilo & Kotika Te), Carlyto decided to record in 1995 his solo album Africa Na Moto with help from Popolipo, Code 36.15, Abby Suria, Dally Kimoko & Luciana. The album of the ex' Ok Jazz & Choc Stars singer was released in 1997 by Syllart Productions and was a huge succes, but the ironic thing was that Carlyto Lassa just decided to become an "brother in christ" some weeks before that the album was released

My favorite album when it was first released. At the time I couldn't understand why he went religious considering the acclaim he received for the singing the '93 song of the year Ousman Bakayako and releasing such a nice solo ablum, but becoming Frere Carlyto seems to have worked out quite well for him.

Makolo ya massiya, in my opinion, is one of the most emotional songs ever.
