Saturday night I was enjoying some music and good drink. Its still has not sunk in that Papa Wemba is gone. That evening around 12am-4:45am i was listening to quite a bit of music. One of the main songs of Wemba I often replay is Mea Culpa ( Emeneya on vocals but I dont know the other guy on that song Esperant? ) but It wasnt until my final song I went to bed after playing Chasse l'Homme from Maitre D'ecole , it wasnt till the morning I saw Wemba had passed on. Very emotional Sunday and will be week. Papa wemba is a very influencial artist to many, Ive never seen a band leader help many of artist grow by helping them produce albums ( stino, Modogogff, reddy, ive found many on Tidal with Viva la musica name attached to it) . He will be forever be missed, hes the only one that has stuck to what he does best. Whats mainly important is that he died doing what he does best making music.
