Looks like he is trying to develop a crossover between the old fally and what he was in the recent years lol much more direct talk for him but still way far from the very agressive he could be at times
 in short he said he thought he had cemented his reputation in africa already so he needed to  challenge himself rather than stay in the usual system of doing mainly music for former Kongo kingdom(drc,brazza,angola) and when he did kiname he told warner music he needed to drop something for his african fanbase and they  did not really agree but he told them they'll be surprised and when he dropped eloko oyo with the buzz around it   the warner guys convinced him to put in on album while it was destined to be the usual folkloric song of fally's rumba albums
so in tokoss yes he did something unusual by singing in french and trying some kosa leka english lol (at least he is honest about that) several songs had  congolese beat
he says he appreciate what congolese rappers are doing in france right now but with that album he wanted to prove that a guy who grew in africa can make it into that level and its a great think that french music has started to accept more and more the artists having success here having a big african vibe into their music and  it proves sometimes in music you need some change but unfortunately it seems a lot of us in congo are allergic to change
he is also asked about why he has given zero interview in DRC for almost two years now and he says he was getting tired and pissed of how congolese interviews are with journalists never stopping some people who come to say bullshit and letting it go then few times after interview the other guy and say "that other guy said this and that what is your reaction to it" and gives example of himself should he come on tv and say he is now bigger than koffi jb werra they would let him go away with it while its clear that he is not up there
and he adds that even  his close friends like naty lokole,nana boduga who is married to his marketing director and co did not get special treatment because he needed a break from all those things while trying to aim higher with european press
and somebody tells him that poster looks like a koffi poster and he replies that its normal since koffi is his father its not a big deal

apart from the boasting he is starting to do a lot like other artists i dont really understand why it shocked people that much we really have a big  ego problem to face truth(im talking about congolese people in daily life)
if you take fally's interviews or interviews of any of our artists done abroad,there is a hugeeeeeee difference of level,musicians are more relaxed(outside the stress of speaking french for some lol),much much more respected and praised
while our style of music interview is damn predictable and rarely giving proper praise and respect to artists,one side of koffi complains about it a lot
for example i once watched papy mboma interviewing ivory coast's meiway i was praying so hard that he did not do the way he does with kin's artists otherwise i think meiway would be a bit embarassed

In Congo there are mainly 4 ethnicities Bakongo (which I am), Bangala/Mongo, Muluba and Swahili, the main characteristics of the Mongos and the people born in Kinshasa are the conviction that I am the only Tuy that counts, I made this, I made that, you can see it in Fally's behaviour oh my group it is not my group they are just an accompaniment group, me? Oh well I am the King don't you see how many success I am having just because I do good music? Ferre the same, I am the king of Rhumba, I am the Jesus de Nuance (the buzarre ract is that Ferre is a bakong but always act like a Kin guy) Seguin even worst, so don't be surprised of some of Fally's selfish behauvours

It's not so bad yet, but I'm sensing that Fally has really become a bit egotistical as of late. I know some of ya'll are saying has every right or it helps with confidence etc. , but I know when someone is becoming narcissistic when I see it.

Yes it was quite predictable though i cant remember many who had success that long and remained on low profile in the last 20 years so that side was bound to appear one day  and the stupid side of it is that our musicians justify it by the fact  if you keep too calm people think they can mess with you so you have to show with authority who you are
notice how humble all of a sudden all of them are when interviewed abroad they know they aint in their normal universe
if you take the last artists to have become succesful you'll see a transformation in their 5 years of so of solo career for those who started first

Where I am from, you keep your arrogance and what have you at home when coming to talk in public because there are always people around to drop some manners in you and that can come in any form. Artistes are always careful when talking in public in Nigeria. You flaunt your wealth too much, na dem big bros(thieves) go help you reset your brain for you( thieves would visit you and nobody would tell you to keep a low profile).

I forgot to add this earlier: it might just be some area boys(shegues) that would deal with you. They would not take anything from you and they would tell you it is because you run your mouth too much or you are too arrogant that they are 'trying to instill some morals' in you. That when next you go out there,you do not boast unnecessarily.
