Wow, was there a fight Seguin ever walked away from? Lol!

Although I learned something new, I had no idea he played drums on Mohamed Kaniansy. The album credited Titina as the drummer and Seguin as the mbonda player.

Who played lead guitar on Pipina-Jeannpy? I want to say Matire Fi-Carré but I could be wrong. I've heard that they hired session guitarist to rework Mboka Liya's contributions and the rhumbas before release.

I'm actually surprised that Genta only got one song on TH, didn't he tour with the group most of 1999 and the album was in the process of recording much of that time.

it's Burkina Faso who played lead on Jeannpy Pipina. Fi-Carre only played on Kinshasa & Walay Danico. They invited Caien Madoka to rework some parts.

Genta did tour with BCBG, but he shared room with Aimelia Lias. So didn't let him participate on the most songs of TH. Because they didn't want to let Aimelia participate to punish him for that accident in Canada. Otherwise he would do those animations he did in Papito Mbala remix. He had to put his animations on TH, when JB went to Paris with Titina, Calugi and Mpela for the mixing. But they left him behind with Burkina Faso & Fi-Carre, because they apparently preferred to bring ngulu's. Which made Genta getting problems with people who payed him money to mabanga's.

Thanks for the info, Burkina Faso did amazing solos on that album! That's too bad about Aimelia's fallout with JB Mpiana, what accident happened in Canada? I thought it was growing egos that made them part ways.

Aimelia was not a yes man and he was already big headed with the succes he had, espcially with the succes of the song Liberation.

Aimelia asked Miette Shegue and Patrica Bingetox if they wanted to go with him in the car to the concert. But they made then a big car-accident,which made Patricia paralyzed. This made JB Mpiana very angry. So he decided to punish him by not letting him participate in TH. So that he could humilate him in Kinshasa and punish again with a big suspension. But not particpating in TH was already to much for Aimelia, which made him decide to stay in Kinshasa against his heart.

I have seen an interview whereby Amelia visits Patricia bingetox. the video is on youtube. i just have no idea what they are saying in the interview.

I suppose the split was inevitable, by the time they toured in America most of the longtime Wenge Members had been unsettled (Alain Makaba left following Zenith, then Blaise Bula and Patient Kusangila).

 We may disagree, but I believe it's poetic justice that Blasie Bula got froze out the band. This was the same guy whose slick comments during the Feux De L' Amour concert with Wemba.

Not to mention that he help facilitate the split by having rehearsals at his house and demand that Werrason, Masela, and Adolphe would have to do tests to maintain their place in Wenge.

What caused that fight with Ficcare? All I know is that it was serious since he broke his foot while Ficcare broke his hand, if I'm not mistaken. Apparently he was chief of orchestra at the time, so it must have been embarrasing moment.

Blaise Bula left before Alain Makaba. That show in Abidjan was his last concert, then he got suspended and was abandoned in the hospital with nobody of BCBG visiting. Which made him decided to leave BCBG and start his band and record his solo album Ponderation8. JB Mpiana wasn't happy when Blaise asked him if he could record an solo album before Abidjan.

Blaise Bula wanted to finish Werrason, because he was fes up with his bad gestion and he wasn't scared like JB to say the truth in his eyes.

Patient Kusangila last concert in BCBG that of Zenith, that was also the moment that he rejoined them. because he stayed in Europe for medical reasons. After Zenith he stayed months at home thinking about his future and then Patcho Panda contacted him to join Maison Mere.

What role would Patient Kusangila had played in Wenge Musica Masion Mere had he joined? Was Werrason trying to replace Didier Masela, because Kusangila could play bass very well. Although he never played bass in the concerts with Masion Mere, so I was always confused by the logic behind his recruitment.

Japonais started to play bass. They recruited Patient, because they wanted a real rhythm player. But he didn't last long.

In terms of a final replacement for Didier Masela, Werrason did a good job to wait because Mimiche's recruitment was well worth it.

To this day, it boogles my mind how Japonais only played lead guitar on ONE song on the entire album. His guitar licks are sharp and crisp, both on record and live. Kapaya was similar on records, but his tone was a bit too light during live performances. By the time Burkina Faso arrived, Kapaya was ready!

A guitarist I don't feel gets enough respect is Maitre Ficcare, he is almost never discussed whenever people mention the best instrumentalist of our times. Granted his solos are not as flashy as Kapaya or Mboka Liya, but he did create the lead partitions of Pentagone and Kalayi Boeing.

Perhaps it is his shy persona that edges him out of the conversation, just like it edged him away from being Chief of Orchestra in BCBG some time ago. But Felly Tyson is a shy man as well, but he's brought up regularly in the conversations of greats of our generation...?

I'm surprised Seguin isn't as joyful behind the drums as the others, his position as drummer has rarely been contested.

Lol back in the years he was bullying his reserves hard until one day he forgot jb was on stage he pushed blaise esabe away from the drums and hit him with the sticks on  his forehad and jb who saw the scene punished him for two months having him to play mulolo and co in the opening parts then letting other 3 drummers play when he is on stage
i also remember a scene of him and sankara on tv sankara had a piece of charcoal in his hands and he was making hints that since seguin stutters a lot by the time he finishes talking charchoal will crumble and seguin was about to manhandle him if not for roger ngandu stepping in between
seguin only shows signs of happiness in europe concerts
