Wow, did Kilimandjaro create those animations that his older brother used for the album Solola Bien and A La Queue Leu Leu?  If so, I'm really impressed! If the ngulu ngulu situation never went down, maybe his career would be much different because he really had cries that could bring people to their feet and dance!

but he did not want to return to kin,understandably with the gifts and nice reception he got at that young age,europe surely looked like heaven to him

You're right! If Kilimanjaro returned to Kinshasa after Zenith of 2001, would he have continued making music with Wenge BCBG? I thought the purpose of his recruitment was to be apart of PPU, not officially of Wenge.

 I could be wrong, because after the release of the group album Internet...Tutu Caludji wanted to phase into singing as opposed to animations. Maybe the atalaku line up for Anti-Terror would have been that of Kilimanjaro, Genta, and occasionally Tutu Caludji...instead of Celluaire.

JB Mpiana didn't perform te Zenith in 2001 it was Bercy. Kilimadjaro joined some days before Wenge BCBG went on tour in 2000. He became part of PPU and performed with then in concerts in Kinshasa, when Wenge BCBG was touring in Europe. But those VHS released in Europe made those BCBG-fans in Europe asking JB to let  him to participate in Internet. Which made JB bring Kilimandjaro to Europe and put some animations and taking part of the goodbye concert at Salle de Noble in Brussels

Kilimadjaro didn't return, because he said to the PPU-guys to stay in Europe with JB returning to Kinshasa for concerts. But he stayed to long, which made then form a rebellion-band. About the  atalaku-line up with would be difficult. Having Gentamicine, Calugi, Kilimadjaro & CNN in 2002 also Cellulaire and the two others in Kinshasa.

CNN was in Wenge BCBG? I thought he was with Quarter Latin Integral that year, because Volte de Face EP came out 2002 and then Vodoo a year after. Why didn't CNN commit to that group?

It's no surprise that he didn't last, B.C.B.G Wenge fan base would have given him a hard time for being apart of Quarter Latin during the Koffi/JB polemic!

I didn't believe it back in the day until I saw the footage at a friends house. Still find it weird with how intense polemic was, but you have to remember some people were  switching bands regardless of the situation, particularly the really talented guys - CNN, Mboka Liya, Sunda Bass, etc..

Bad timing for CNN because BCBG's 7 year Europe band started shortly after, and CNN was based in Europe, so it was a lost cause for him.

lol, to put things into perspective this is the same CNN that wore JB's 1999 Stade de Martyr outfit in the Attentat generique clip to make a mockery of him.




Of course it was at the command of Koffi, but still

Perhaps he recruited him because the jabs against him from Koffi weren't as harsh as the ones directed at Zaiko and Wemba lol

Even if that Europe ban of never happened, CNN likely wouldn't have stayed with B.C.B.G because the atalaku section would be crowded with Cellulaire being present as well. Not to mention his animations don't mesh well with Wenge, good concert tho! Thanks for sharing this video, never seen it!

No I don't think so. JB Mpiana also recruited Champion. Who dissed him very hard back in 1999, 2000 and 2001.
