I used to have that dvd. I was pissed off that Adolphe didn't put Inspiration in the DVD, but on the same time I could understand it. I was lucky to see it in those polemic-VHS's of that time. Charly Balaka who was then Tonya Tonya's spokemen was a pastor in the videoclip. I hope that will upload that rare videoclip one day.

I'm surprised how quickly Wenge Tonya Tonya broke apart after Lacoste returned to Masion Mere. I thought Shella Mputu and Spino could have eased the fan disappointment from Lacoste leaving, both were great singers and dancers

What is Adolphe up to these days? Is Tonya Tonya still an active band or is Adolphe a solo artist?

Spino wasn’t there. He stayed with Chibida, Papillion, etc in Europe and then rejoined Victoria Eleison for a moment.

Wenge Tonya Tonya is still active, but Adolphe wants noe to became a deputy like many other musicians, comedians, journalist, etc. Just to get easy money, because music isn’t paying anymore. For most concerts you had to pay 2 coca cola’s or 2 primus lol. Hahahah. Music in DR Congo is death.

What do you think can be done to make the music scene profitable again? Because it won't benefit the population if it becomes a current trend for unqualified people start running for public office, Congo is already in bad shape.

People need to stick to their respective craft; if you do music well then stay a musician (Werrason & Adolphe), if you're in public service than work for the govenment, ect.

If these guys couldn't maintain business within their orchestran ethically, what makes them think that they're fit for public service?

The economic situation in DR Congo kills everything and the music of today garbage. Who will be motivated to go to those concerts even if it's for free. Most people don't even know if they will get the chance to eat or feed their children. Look how the Udjana-phenomenon or the Kuluna popped up from nowhere, this because their parents aren't able to give them what they want and isn't work. With everybody wanting to go to Europe or Angola. But recently Angola sent 200.000 Congolese people back.

It will take a long time to make to music-scene in DR Congo profitable, because those problems already started in the early 80's/late 70's when the crisis started to hit Zaire very strong and Soneca being death. The which was saving bands and solo-artists from was touring in Europe, which started to became very profitable  from the late 80's, because alot of Congolese people started to migrate to Europe from the early 80's. With those artists then adding the ngulu-business by bringing people for 1000/2000/3000/4000 or 5000 dollars to Europe. But can't do that anymore with the European Union controlling them and the combattans-ban. Only thing that can save them is to come up for their rights, so that those bars radio and televisionchannels pay the bills of the music their are playing. If those bars, radio and television-channels pay the SOCODA then Congolese artists would live very well. They wouldn't then even be forced to perform every weekend in those small bars.

If Lacoste never rejoined Werrason, do you think Wenge Tonya Tonya could have a Zenith or Olympia concert? In Africa, they were very popular but I'm sure if the following in Europe was as strong enough to book those venue.

Tonya Tonya was a very promising band. It's shame how it did not last long.

They already performed at Olympia in 2002 as goodbye-concert before returning to Kinshasa.
