He was one of the big soukous guys early on with Damien Aziwa, Kanda Bongo Man, Aurlus Mabele, Geo Bilongo, Dany Enbongo, etc. I remember at one point he was a opening act for Empire Bakuba.

He wasn't a Zaiko member, more a collaborator in the mid-late 90's when soukous fizzed out and a lot of those soukous guys tried to change their base to Kin with local talent instead of Paris with session artists

Chinia is superb album it's also his last good album.
