People living in Europe were already complaing about Kinshasa being dirty when they were visiting it in the 80's, but people in Kinshasa thought that they exaggerating . Then after the lootings of 1991 and 1993 it became worser and now its …………… Even in Gombe you can find places like that and have also have problems with water like other areas with also kulunas being there in Gombe. I still find it crazy to see people eating and drinking without problem and/or selling products above that mess, while it stinks very badly.
To be honest. I don't that anything will change if Tshisekedi or Fayulu will take the power, maybe those fake wars in Eastern Congo wil stop, but the mess in Kinshasa no.
Look how Kinshasa used to be. The Zairianisation-project of Mobutu in 1973 was a big mistake. Giving responsabilies, companies, etc (who were after 1960 still in hands of white people) to people who didn't even studied for that. It put the country in a big crisis and people who were living in villages wanting to move to Kinshasa, because of crisis hitting the country very hard and European people who used to have policlinics there moving back to Europe. Kinshasa is very overpopulated and it's growing everyday. Recently alot of people who used to live in Kasai came to Kinshasa because of the Kamuena Nsapu-rebellion. Then you have also those Traditional Chiefs who are selling ground for a cheap price.
