Some say that they have to stop inviting Congolese artists to perform in Abidjan, adding also that Ivorian artists never perform which isn’t true, because Meiway & Magic System performed often in Kinshasa. I’m scared that it will be hard in the next years to see a Congolese artist perform there, because there is a kind of campaign their to let them stop promoting foreign music. Back in the 80’s and 90’s it was so easy to get contract for the  Francophone countries of West Africa. You had only to release in April and within 2 months you had already alot of countries. But now it very rare  to hear that a Congolese artist perform in Dakar, Bamako, Conakry, Niamey, Ouagadougou, Lome or Ouagadougou. While in the past it was like a platground for them. Now they have only Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia & Zimbabwe.

Why do Ivorians have a problem with Koffi Olomide perfoming there since they have always welcomed artists like Defao, Fally Ipupa, Heritier and others. I find this interesting.

Long story short, concert promotor Romy Oyo breached their concert contract 3 years ago and he cut the concert with no explanation to the crowd. Concert was filmed by a tv station but was not mentioned in the contract. Koffi and Fally don’t play when it comes to contracts

I know you two are Koffi cynics, but Koffi technically had a right to terminate the concert, but he should’ve explained it to the crowd then and there

It's true, Koffi should have given a free concert to be forgiven

Koffi filled both venues to the max, so it seems like he's still welcomed in Cote D'Ivoire.

Apparently, the cause was due to the effect of his words towards reggae-star, Alpha Blondy. It was a misconception but Koffi allegedly insulted him.

The concert was a success. Its appalling how a continent full of black people but yet see themselves as mere enemies.
