Don’t forget that it took Werrason 2 years to come back in the Schengen-area. I remember Belgium refusing to give them visa while France accepted back in 2004 which forced them to record Alerte Generale in Kinshasa. They finally got visa’s after negotations with influent politicians and strong advocates. This all because that incident before the Madeleine-concert in Brussels when the police arrested Werrason for the Ngulu-affaire. Because of woman suing him to the police, saying that she paid alot of money to Werrason to bring some family-members, but that it didn’t happen. Werrason was then very lucky that everybody in Maison Mere denied. Because they arrested the whole band.
Koffi Olomide took the risk to pay 100.000 dollars in 2003, promising that nobody would remain in Europe, but it didn’t happen. Which made for him again very difficult to get visa’s in 2005 with him then on some point starting his tour of 2005-06 in Sweden and asking his singers to do their to get European papers so that doesn’t have to ask for visas.
