Luciana Demingongo is the first and only that I've ever that claimed to be paid every month. While musicians King Kester Emeneya, Reddy Amisi, Bendoson, Pompom Miyake, Alpatchino, the list is long all claimed that wasn't paying them and when he would them, then they had to wait 6 or 5 months to get other money. King Kester Emeneya made funny stories saying that Sacre Zaza was hiding under table to not pay them.

The story of La Nouvelle Generation is complicated, everybody got his own version. Lidjo Kwempa's song Monimambu pissed Wemba and his fans really hahahahaha. They really thought that they ended Wemba's career.

Papa Wemba was so lucky that Stino went back to Viva La Musica. Lidjo Kwempa always claimes that Reddy also was them and they said it also in the press. But I never understand why he keeps denying it. If Reddy Amisi & Stino left, then it would have been the end of Viva La Musica in Paris

I never saw the VHS of La Nouvelle Generation vs King Kester Emeneya. I'm missing those concerts of two differents on the same stage. They were also the last generation to do that. It would have been interesseting if in the years 1998-2002. We could have seen concerts like Quartier Latin vs Maison Mere, Wenge Tonya Tonya vs Nouvelle Ecriture, etc. That concert they against Papa Wemba really killed their band. They were number 1 in Paris and Papa Wemba had alot of difficulties in Paris, he was lucky that Reddy Amisi saved him with his album Injustice. But after that concert they switched the rolls. Looks like Congolese people don't know the value of instrumentists. I imagine how Awilo felt when Pims attacked him.

Luciana Demingongo made good songs when he left Viva La Musica. Songs like Princesse Julia, Mbowassa, Aziza, Vigilance & Matabisi.
