Its actually the same like in Kinshasa. But you hear less about them, because they don't go to the press and music doesn't live that much in Brazzaville like in Kinshasa. Compared to those living in Kinshasa, they make zero money (unless if they are a private band of someone from the Sassou-entourage or someone coming from Pointe Noire), that's why there is always some jealousy towards musicians from Kinshasa, because they always sings songs for donors from Brazzaville while those living in Brazzaville are getting zero support. There are few interviews of former Extra Musica and Patrouilles des Stars musicians complaining about how their leaders are treating them, but people are giving zero attention to it. Not a long time ago Doudou Copa's musicians were mocking Sonor Digital for still renting a house and asking people for money to buy gasoline for his car.
Most bands or solo artists always move to Pointe Noire, because the life as musician in Brazzaville is to hard and there in Pointe Noire they can get financial support from donors. Pointe Noire is the centre of the oil industry in Congo-Brazzaville and one of the main oil producers in Central Africa which makes it having alot of rich people living there (most work for French oil company Elf). But most "grand pretre who make money there,don't like to invest money in music". People from Congo-Brazzaville are calling Pointe Noire "cimetiere ya ba musiciens", because alot of musicians live there but they are going nowhere in their career (Quetin Moyascko, Regis Touba, Arafat 2500 volts, Julien Antonio, etc.) the list is long.
