What was the name of the song that BCBG were singing in accapella on the background  ? from 0:57 min.

That chorus is of another planet. They had to put in on exclusivity as outro or intro of the VHS. They messed it up by putting it through the interview of JB Mpiana.

Of the new recruits post-Wenge 4×4, who was your favorite singer in Wenge BCBG and who was your least? My favorite was Chai Ngenge, his vocals on Grace A Toi Germain, Tshico Londonien Amour Sans Tâche are among my favorites of his contributions to the band.

I think you can guess my least favorite, he's trolled just as much as Kibens in this forum...LMFAO! Although I pull back on shading Kibens because the guy is a legend with the pen alone, nevermind his nasally voice. I couldn't stand Rio Kazadi, he reminded me of Jipson from Quartier Latin. He's been wack since that goofy out of breath belting he did at Olympia of 1999

None of them. I saw them all as comedians and not as real singers when JB Mpiana presented them, sans ideologie, sans allure, nothing that show them that they were real BCBG compared to those of Maison Mere from which the most were all handsome men. Rio Kazadi singing like a woman, Chai Ngenge like a drunk man of the streets and Jules Kibens copying Kester Emeneya before changing his singing-style after TH, trying to immitate singers from the French West Indies with difficult French (the way they sung the refrain of Love Airlines made my laugh in the beginning, "jean marie lukulasi le don d'afrique, oyo ozo sala lelo ezali non assistance en danger, olingi vraiment nakufa martyr ya bolingo, love airlines...."). I find it always funny when Mbuta Likasu immitates Kibens in interviews.

But I started to get respect for them when Papito Mbala remix got released, falling in love with their vocals. I started to get even more respect for them, when TH got released, because of the chorus (the voice of Rio and Kibens being combinated with that Alain Mpela were making it special). I really liked their songs on internet, Love Arlines and Fleur d'Amour were my favorite songs along with Consolation. The vocal of Chai Ngenge in l'Espoir de Chicago was my favorite one of that album. But I was still seeing them as comedians.

The recrutement of Rio is something I will never get. That squad was too weak to against MAISON MERE

guys bear in mind that bcbg and maison mere were not recruited on the same mission, werra needed a strong team to counter jb very hard,jb basically needed,in his mind, a band to continue playing music, its like fally he just needed people so that he does not have playbacks only, its different to guys who create groups with a plan(ferre's first generations, cultura's first generation, the two latino's...)
the odd good looking or very talented instrumentist with artistic "character" can appear in their bands but they clearly are  not looking for that with an idea of intense promotion to make them become stars
rio was picked by blaise bula for his chorus ability in order to replicate female chorus voice of feux de l'amour

It’s true Jb never intended to create a dream team like that of WMM or the first 2 generations of QL. The second generation of Les PPU (after Kibens and co moved to the first team) were more of a dream team they were more of a competition to MM and QL, had JB really unleashed them or if they didn’t leave and mixed with the third generation of Les PPU (Abraham, Djino and co) they could’ve given MM and QL headaches. I was never impressed with Kibens, Rio and Chai I just saw Kibens as a bootleg Blaise copy and I used to find his Lela dance he did in zenith and Olympia so annoying to watch. It was better when JDL, Mukena, and Bikou joined they brought new life to BCBG and helped improve BCBG looks wise cause I still feel like the Zenith team (except for Afande, Caludji and Genta) were not match for QL and MM.

I saw like when JB Mpiana recruited JDL, Bikou le Brun & Richard Mukena, like they went to block the evolution of the just newly recruited PPU’s, who had fresh blood and everything to become a dream.Because when JB Mpiana was in Europe to perform at Zenith & Olympia, they went to recruit whole new team. Having recruited Sakoko, who seen as the heir of Emeneya (being one the keymembers of Wenge Kumbela). Armand  Ngolo (RIP), who was seen as a future leader in Lemba. Djo Lockis who was leader of Promise Musica in Matonge (the band of Calugji, Polystar, Alpatshino and co). Didi Kalombo, who was the leader of Fraternite Musica (the band of Celeo, Fally, etc.). Dolin Masengi who was seen as one of the best tenorist of Kinshasa (being also one of the keymembers of Wenge Kumbela), etc. There were like 12 singers and a bunch of instrumentiste. But the equipe de base of singers in 2001 was, Djo Lockis, Armand Ngolo, Chikito Mutakatif (who joined later leaving Quartier Latin), Sakoko, Didi Kalombo & Djo Lockis.

How can you as leader prefer guys like Bikou Le Brun, Rio Kazadi & Chai over Dolin Masengi. Or someone like Kibens, JDL & Mukena over Sakoko, who had back in those also the looks.

jb did not want to deal with egos, which is why from blaise and makaba days until today, when you grow ego around him its almost impossible to remain
maybe it comes from the fact his real original plan was not to create wenge bcbg along with alain blaise and co,his original plan when things went sour with werra and masela sided with werra was to do his albums with "ba requins" then use kibens bompema and guys like that just to tour with it or some of the wenge members,it is blaise who took him apart during the days of negotiations and promised to him that he'll have his full space to develop what he started building from feux de l'amour but they need his aura to start something together
which is why in the history of bcbg,he rarely attended most of the days of multiple recruitment he always trusted titina, alain mpela, genta to deal with that because in his head it is clear that bcbg is a group of people coming to benefit from his aura to eat,not necessarily to build theirs and build ego with it
and kibens who is one of his closest friends outside music knows how to influence him not to fully go down exploiting properly his group with the risk of ego route( and seguin jdl roger aswell)
sometimes he had the temptation to really promote to maximum his artists but he always has to his ears the "pres remember bcbg is you and whoever can be there people come for you anyway)
