I don't think Extra Internationale will last long. Quentin just doesn't seem to have the required focus to sustain a band long term other than a huge sense of entitlement. The good thing from this is that Arafat is back & will easily end in NH. The Congo Brazza sebene has been missing his fire for a ver long time

yeah quentin seems like blaise bula,somebody who loves too much other things than music,so he is never able to fully focus on music
both use the argument that they have studied so they have to do what they have studied for

I think Arafat was the best atalaku of Extra Musica, I can't recall a song where his animation was boring. Back in the days when he was a member of the group, if I had a band and needed an atalaku, if he applied, I would have licensed him with confidence knowing the deal can't go wrong. But significant time has passed, I wonder how his voice can perform after so many years. I really wish him success.

Arafat is amazing, I love all of his cries in Extra Musica, I think he can get a top 10 spot if you put him among DRC atalakus......... Maybe etat unis will join them too

I saw RAV4 announcing a new album of Quetin Moyascko called "Temps de la fin" which will be produced by Denide. I hope that this time he will manage to get the album released after recording 4 unreleased albums in 13 years.

In retrospect, do you think it was wise for Pinochet Thierry, Regis Touba, Durrel Loemba to form Z1 International? Or would they have been stronger to remain together?  I know they wanted to do the farewell concerts in Brazzaville before touring in Europe, but you said that they had taken a break in performing before then. Should they have taken the risk and compromised?

I feel like Regis got too confident with the success of Ere de Verite and left too early, but what do yall think?

They would surely have been stronger if they remained together. But I didn't really like their music from their album Super Helico. It sounded like gospel music, the way the sebenes were played and the way the keyboards were played by Cyrille Malongo. I prefered the Merci-album of Quetin Moyascko with Arnaud Laguna on the lead (who first was only played rhythm when Durrel Loemba was around) and a singer who used to sing like Papy Jah. The good side of the separtion is that it made us disover new talented musicians and Regis Touba getting a bigger dimension, etc.

I don't know if it was bad or not, because at that time I wasn't really following music from Brazzaville, only Extra Musica Zangul. I knew those infos through the interviews Durrel Loemba and Regis Touba made the last 2 years.

Regis Touba left, because he was forced out by Durrel Loemba, Pinochet Thierry who weren't happy the way he was thinking that Z1 International was his "own" bad. So Regis Touba decided after that to form his own band and recorded a maxi-single which flopped.

Yes, because he was charmismatic and how to dance. He had everything to replace him. It was weird to see him back in Extra Musica singing with guys who were his former employees (RAV4 & Levyson) and Kassumbalesa and co who were young.

I found it also really weird to see Herman, Regis and Roga dancing at the Kora Award. Ba tata mibimba. They looked like fathers who are refusing to take their responsibility and still wants to be the Kings of nightclubs.
