I don't mind an all rumba album but this is just bad.

This generation really came to destroy the genre. SMH.
I'll wait for the Heritier album, if he also disappoints I'll stick to old school joint and I'll wait for a new generation to save the genre.
I feel like this genre is beyond saving at this point. Not enough classics, style over substance. There are few hopes we have at the moment.
The only thing that can save the genre is a very new generation. We need a Zaiko or Wenge. Young people that will come with new blood, energy, and style.
The older guys don't have any form of passion, so they can't make the effort of making good music.
Where are the great guitarists, drummers, etc.
The genre is dying because of the Fally solo formula. It killed the creativity of musicians. Congolese music is played in groups. A lot of talent are being killed in these fake groups.
Instead of financing young groups full of creativity, all these donors are busy giving money to the same old solo leaders to make "sexy" songs about them. That's why musically, the genre is stagnating. We need new blood.
