He says he started getting interested in music at age of 6 7 when he was trying to create drums at home to play
then as his father was working with mobutu he moved all around the country and his father when he went to a concert were telling people to let him play drums so that he has fun
being from a "noble" family he grew up lacking nothing and listening to music from abroad  until he discovered and fell in love with zaiko 
later on when he started playing bass he was attracted by  alain makaba and wanted to learn next to him,and he insists that makaba is the man who made wenge's music
so in late 80's he'd took his father's car to go apply for a job in wenge which surprised the guys and he was there  with ficarre waiting
 for a chance and what helped him take an edge on other rhythm guitarists  is his ability to sing songs from abroad like makaba who was then gone to europe  so he started performing before the singers arrive on stage then when they went for kin e bouger and since only masela among guitarists returned it paved way to the former "reserve" of him manda alain mpela and ficarre to become integrated into the group properly
he then played on every album until split and naturally chose to go with jb because even though its werrason who was motivating him to make a permanent switch to rhythm and learn the songs of the group instead of just his foreign songs,he had more natural bond with jb makaba titina blaise,and from an band member point of view it was also natural that he went to wenge bcbg  which had europe tour lined up which is already an indication of  hope
he then did that legendary introduction at jb's zenith but left shortly after and he says he was unhappy withcertain things(the sunda bass arrival from quartier latin which blocked his dream to cement bass position having him to go back to rhythm soon and he expected much more money)
 then he was approached by late jps to join wenge maison mere and had a nice personal salary paid by jps,but he was not feeling comfortable in the group,not that he has anything against werra or the group but he just did not feel home it was so different from what he was use to in wenge 4X4 and bcbg and he did not last long either,and he regrets that scene at palais des sports where werra and adolphe did comedy on him to throw shade at bcbg over titanic
and as we know already he left maison mere having collapsed during a concert
he was asked how out of the blue 20 years after we saw him announce himself as back in bcbg,and he explains that it all started 2 3 years ago when he turned 50 and to his surprise jb did one his happy birthday snapchat videos for him while they had not talked for long,then some time after when he had to come to kinshasa for wedding of his daughters he received a call from seguin to ask when will it be and get information about how its planned and to his surprise jb not only set a podium came with his whole group and performed for free and he was so shocked that he cried  and that surprised moved him so much that  he said to himself that bcbg is his home so after that they had agreed   that whenever he is in kin he will work with the group and whenever jb needs him in europe in studio he will be there
he says he has received a call from ferre about the project of reuniting members of clan wenge in his album and its a fantastic idea and he has agreed to add a song on it( he had developped great bond with ferre since 4X4 and even more after ferre took him on his back to walk until finding an hospital after collapsing)
and ingrid then asked if he listened to regarde moi and he says of course and ferre did great,first by taking that risk then by showing his worth as a singer, he has one little advice/criticism to make but he'll tell him in private but thats a  great song,and it suits singers like him who are naturally blessed with voice
he is asked about his qualities and flaws and he says his biggest quality is he has a big heart,when he loves somebody its always deep ,and his biggest flaw is that he is impatient which is funny with him being named patient but he likes things to flow quickly if it complicates  he can give up and move on to something else(which can be seen in his post 4X4 spells in both  offshots)

I thought Patient left bcbg before Sunda arrived, because he didn’t return with the group to Kin after the Titanic tour he returned for the Zenith show and left again.
I honestly don’t think the Wenge project will see through to the end, someone will sabotage it, we’ve already had Bill moan and accuse Ferre of stealing Regarde Moi and knowing the littlest things can cause clashes in clan Wenge, so how on earth can they all coexist for the next couple of years.

Patient Kusangila left Wenge BCBG in 1998, because he was mad that JB and co didnt visit him in the hospital. Patient was seriously sick, if you look to some concerts of 1998, you will see  that he lost alot of weight and him not looking healhty. You will also notice that he wasn't present in the last concerts they gave (picknick in Brussels, London, etc.) in Europe and Titina something playing bass along with Makaba. After that Patient Kusangila stayed in Europe and even participated on a solo-album of Kassav-singer (the one who passed away, I forgot his name). Then after some months he met JB Mpiana and they reconciled. He rehearsed a little bit with BCBG in Paris when they came for Zenith. After performing at Zenith, he was waiting for the money, but when he was paid he wasn't satisfied about the money they gave him. He tried to contact JB, but it was difficult to get him, because he had put a system that you had to go first through his staff if wanted to talk to him. It made him mad, because he knew JB very well and they were like friends, so it felt like JB didn't want him. When JB went to Canada, he decided to stay and think about his future. Not long after that he would be contacted by Patcho Panda, who used to be a staff-member of Wenge Maison Mere, to join them (In other interviews he made, he mentioned him, but in this interview he changed the story). Because Masela could leave every moment, so they needed him to join as rhythm-player and Japonais to switch to the bass-guitar.
