I liked Papy Cocaine's and Bidjana's cri in the start. I remember how I danced wild on it on new year eve 2002

The guitar is very good. But what I don't find very charming is the bass under it. Maybe that's why it did not catch the attention of people. But a good job from Daniel, indeed. Maybe it should be remixed with a bit more interesting bass.

That poliphony of the animators in the beginning od the sebene was a great idea indeed. Very exciting solution.

By the way, who is this Bidjana? Where did he came from and where did he move to when leaving Zaiko? I did not hear anything about him except for a few Zaiko albums.

In 1997 he joined Wenge 4x4, to replace Ekokota who wasn't the same anymore, but they weren't really giving him a chance (I had just 2 or 3 concerts with them in Kinshasa before the split). Being already with BCBG's staff and being known by everyone, he would join automatically join Wenge BCBG. His first concerts with BCBG w ere at Palais du Peuple and Nsele, when they just returned from the long Europe-tour (They didn't put him unfortunately in the footage of those concert). He would mostly animate when dancers would come in. After the release of Titanic, they were him given more space in concerts, him reacting to Kaludji's cri's. Bidjana participated to the preparation of BCBG's concert at Zenith. But just 1 month before the event, Gentamicine joined and they started to animate them 3. But suddenly, Bidjana got seriously sick and Gentamicine went in his place. It took a long time for him to recover. When he recovered he decided to join Quartier Latin, where he became a pair with CNN, being there with new musicians like Spino, Fally, Soleil, Jordan, etc. Koffi used to love him alot. But when they had to perform at Cinemax, he wasn't able to find a black clothes to come to the concerts, it made Koffi mad, who started to yell at him (I can tell, when Koffi yells at you, you can get traumatized). Bidjana then decided to leave and rejoined Rombaut Tunani's band in Lemba. A few months after that, Quartier Latin-guitarist Do Akongo got left behind in Kinshasa, when Quartier Latin went to Europe for Bercy. Do Akongo decided to form his own band in Kinshasa and Bidjana got recruited as atalaku. The band had some succes in the beginning, but for whatever reason they werent able to release the album they were recording. After some months a musician of Zaiko (I think Tshanda, I dont remember), asked him if he could join Zaiko, since that they were looking for young musicians. He refused, because he saw it like many people as a band for old people and not of his age. But after some weeks, he finally accepted the offer and did his test at Rond Point Kimpanza which was succes. Bidjana would participate in the albums Daniel, Eureka and Empreinte. In 2003, he got bronze from ACMCO for being the 3th best atalaku. Which was due to the song Ngoma, which was a traditional tribute song to all musicians and staffmembers of Zaiko who passed away (The ironic part is that Nyoka Longo credited the song to him, while did even write the song).



 In 2009, he was like Doudou Adoula, Papy Cocaine, Shulay and Lola Muana about to return to Kinshasa after 6 years absence there. But a jealous atalaku along with some other musicians gossiped about him to Nyoka Longo, that he was talking bad about him behind his back. Nyoka Longo was hurt about it, since that Bidjana was one of his favorite musicians in the band and started to ignore him and did him very dirty. Which made Bidjana not return to Kinshasa, while he already sended all clothes and a car to Kinshasa. After that he some private problems. But in 2013, started his band in Kinshasa and recorded an album. I don't if it got released.

Why would Do Akongo make a clip for Sens Inverse and conduct interviews without authorization of Koffi or his staff? He had to know that would piss off his boss.

Which made Zaiko Langa Langa staying for years in Europe, after that the case got closed, his friends Andre Kimbuta and somebody else of PPRD were preparing his return in Kinshasa. They recruited a few musicians in Kinshasa along with Lola Muana, who used to be there before joining Zaiko in Europe. In meantime Zaiko was still performing in Belgium and France, but they succes was becoming smaller and smaller with the years going on. In 2009 they were ready to return, but Nyoka Longo just returned with Doudou Adoula, Lola Muana and Shulay. Papy Cocaine had normally also to return, but he put huge stones in his luggage and didn't show up at the airport. Bidjana stayed because of having personal issues with Nyoka Longo after gossips.

Musicians of Quartier Latin, Wenge BCBG, Wenge Maison Mere, Nouvelle Ecriture, Victoria Eleison and Zaiko Langa Langa are free to do interviews when they want in Kinshasa. Most do it to promote there songs when a group-album got released. Do Akongo did nothing wrong with recording interviews, because Champion Djikapela and Savanet Depitcho were doing the same thing for their songs. Its just the demand from the public was high and Do Akongo recording a second clip for Sens Inverse on his own. But Koffi being angry, after that staffmembers gossped about him, saying that he was humilating him for bragging that he made songs like Coucou, Fois Cent, Kot Kot for Koffi on tv and Koffi wanting zero promotion for Droit de Veto in Kinshasa.

I don't get this: who put the stones in Papy's suitcase? Himself or his mates? But why? To be late from the airport?

When you check live videos from 2007-2008 Bidjana does not appear on them, mostly Papy and Doudou animating. I thought Bidjana left by that time.

Bidjana was living in Marseille with his ex'wife and children at that time, which is far in the south of France. It was difficult for him to come every week to Brussels to rehearse with them and having each month, but he was still in the band.

Papy Cocaine was really about to go back to Kinshasa, but his wife didn't want him to go back (his wife really loves him, I remember how she used to complain about him going clubbing with JF Ifonge and another musician in Brussels, them always arguing about that and her at some point locking Papy up in his bedroom). Nyoka Longo then bought tickets for him through donors and Doudou, Lola Muana, Shulay and Malage (who came as guest). However, Papy's wife managed him to stay in Brussels and the day he had to travel, Papy himself put stones in his luggage. Nyoka Longo was really angry about what he did, saying that he won't forgive him for doing that. Somewhere in 2012 or 2013, Papy Cocaine  decided to go back to Kinshasa and wanted to rejoin Zaiko. Zaiko had then mad succes in Kinshas with Vimba, Maman Sisika and Voler n'est pas bon, being the only band there who was performing 4 times in a week. Papy Cocaine was welcomed well by all fanatics and even made tv-appearance. Instead of saying no to Papy Cocaine, Nyoka Longo kept ingnoring for weeks. After 9 months spending in Kinshasa, he came back to Europe (His wife though that he lost him, hearing that he went back with his old wife, she was really panicked). I called him when he came back and when I  asked him how it was going with Zaiko, he said that Zaiko is finished and nothing in Kinshasa. Me immediatly understanding that something went wrong. Not long after that he became a brother in christ and made two appearences with JF Ifonge on interview, but he quickly left him, not being disagreeing with him about the way of seeing religion.

I regret it turned out liket that. I understand though he has a private life as well. But when I heard Zaiko is returning to Kinshasa, I really missed he is no more with them. I remember the group that stayed in Europe was rehearsing for a while and had a song: Tata Yoyo, where he animated very well, his voice was still good. For me one of the best animators at that moment from the selection. I regret he disappeared like that. Tata Yoyo was a good song and they could have made it a hit. If they record more similar ones, that group could have success in Europe I am sure.
