the cessez le feu generique had a lot of success in west africa,shame for dakumuda that  his name never "followed" it was just a series of ndombolo hits in that era and few names well known but song like this or the g7 ben laden song could play in bars on repeat for an hour

I've been waiting to hear this album for so long! Out of the Dakumuda albums I've heard so far, this is probably my favourite. I like how in Question Mark, one of Lavignora's members led the song while Dakumuda, the bandleader, sang like he was just another member of the band.

I believe this album came out in mid-to-late 1998 or early 1999 because the cries used here were at their peak during this period. All that was missing was 'A Kibinda! Eeeh!' lol. I could be wrong, though. Maybe those cries were a local success back in 1997 and Lavignora was just ahead of the game, using those cries well before the big 4.

There was a clip but its very rare and I don't think that someone would find it

Cessez le Feu is a very good album. I listened to it yesterday and I didn't even except that it would be that good, because most album with that quality are mwa. It would have been a masterpiece if it was recorded in an ultramodern studio. Now it remains album Feu (2001) and Emboutaillage (1994).

Was Baudoin Bikoko their main donor or was it just a way to motivate him to bring Laviniora to Europe ? Because he had a song in every album they recorded in the 90s.
