What was Emeneya’s goal by releasing this EP? Was it just to fight against the multiple albums that came out that year and letting the people know at the same time that he’s still there. Was it a way to give a preview of Longue Histoire without Victoria’s involvement ? Or was it his last attempt to see if he could continue with the rhythm of Everybody/Nzinzi ?

The title already say everything “Never Again/Plus Jamais”. The EP it self was a huge flop when it came out and it made people restarting doubting about him while he had a strong comeback with Mboka Mboka.

Emeneya had to do the animation on Mwana Oyo on his own instead of letting the woman interpret Spino La Djatence Tshiluba lines. I don’t remember her name anymore something must be Katherine or Victorine, I didn’t like her. Her voice doesn’t fit for Congolese music She already messed “Dieu est Vivant” of Succes Fous up where she sung lead

It was probably so that he could keep his name out there while people were waiting for Longue Histoire. He did put his name back on the map with Mboka Mboka so chances are that he believed that if he didn't release anything in 1999, the momentum would slow down. In other words, Never Again may have been released for the sake of releasing new music, almost like it was filler to tide people over until the main event.
