Actually I am glad that you are mentioning this. Guess who agrees with you? JF Ifonge. There is a good controversy between him and Olivier Kalabasi.

It started when Alain Alima Mongala did an interview with JF Ifonge where he claimed that Olivier Kalabasi used to play with him in a concert where he was a bass player. He says that Olivier Kalabasi was not sounding like Fally and in fact can never sound like Fally even now.

Olivier Kalabasi responded. He was definitely acting and you can tell that he was not his natural self. He was trying too much to be Fally Ipupa. Very creepy indeed.

JF Ifonge responded to this interview and had a point in pointing out on how unnatural he was

Actually, there is a song where actually Olivier Kalabasi actually sounded like Fally Ipupa somewhat. In the first part of the song, he sounded like Fally but on the second part, he was unable to keep the Fally impersonation and you could hear more and more of his actual voice. Even his talking voice, later towards the end of the song of the sebene, his natural voice starts appearing more.
The song is called Delice. What is sad is that Olivier Kalabasi is a good singer but his obsession with Fally Ipupa ruins his voice in a way. This song is actually good btw.
