More like twenty-two years of Quarter Latin, the group died in 2008 with the emphasis of Cindy. But their history should be celebrated

Tbh yh if Cindy wasn't there, Quartier Latin would've continued to go strong

i feel like cindy takes a bit too much blame though for quartier latin's demise, one of the reasons we have to accept aswell is that them guys there from the cultura contingent to jitrois and co till the generation of omba and mayase they did not come with stuff of the level of effrakata affaire d etat and co leaving koffi with no choice than to promote them
its not cindy's fault that except gesac and to some extent tresor nzinga latino have not had since brigade's return an atalaku who would walk into any group because he's that good or that volcan has been rinsing the ekoti te and papa mobimba licks instead of creating back to back hits like tyson lebou rama and co ,we can argue that singers can come with 20+ vocals like fally and co for the albums  and not be given the chance but i am not so sure as wounded as koffi is about the singers with the fally "betrayal"and mass exodus at the same time of the golden generation he'd refuse everything especially now 18 years after
because one thing which built koffi's career is adapting to the market,i am pretty sure if there was a latino team which could give him what it takes to be up to date in the market he'd exploit it,proof is even that kirikou guy he got space as he fitted the slower sebene koffi wanted and he came with good ideas to exploit but he just did not have the talent and the tools to be a long term star which he still is showing today
as we are talking 'c'est le moment" "danse ya ba boss" and "mbuma tondolo" are the last succesful animation from quartier latin atalakus and in a normal world all three would be  animated on the leftover/badly arranged sebene song(like rouge a levres in monde arabe)not on the main generiques

Loool Koffi’s funny and such a troll, for the second year in a row he’s excluded Sam Tshintu from the picture and also Somono isn’t there either but Jf Ifonge, BB J3, and 3 other musicians (who’s names I don’t know) who made no impact in the group. Looks like he’s still haunted by Academia loool, even Willy Bula isn’t featured and also noticed how he made Ferre’s picture slightly bigger than Fally’s lmao and sorry but Cindy being the biggest picture is a joke, I get she’s his wife but come on even he knows her history in Latino has been by far the least popular era which he knows.

What is hilarious in this photo is that he puts JF Ifonge but refuses to put Sam Tshintu. Funny enough, he even puts in Beniko Popolipo considering that they are no longer friends. It looks to me that Koffi Olomide and Sam Tshintu will never reconcile. Both hold grudges against the other. I will get in trouble for saying this but there is a better chance of seeing Koffi and Beniko reconciling than Koffi and Sam. Chances of reconciliation between Beniko and Koffi are slim to none. It is truly sad that Koffi and Sam cannot just put aside their grudges and at least have another reunion. I know many Quartier Latin fans including myself would love to see Koffi and Sam perform together again for a reunion.

Quartier Latin is a dead band. It died in 2006 after Danger de Mort. Koffi knows it, but his ego won't allow him to accept it.

He knows it. That’s why he does not promote them.

Naa his ego accepted it a long time ago because if he wanted to he would've kept Quartier Latin going but clearly chose not to. The band is just an unofficial session group, Imagine if he still focused on the group we could've had so much more successful children coming out of Clan Latino instead of just Fally.

Come on now. Cindy might not be the best Chef D'orchestre ever but is ultimateky Koffi who doesn't want to produce big stars anymore after Fally, cause he is scared these acts might go solo and act like Faly does now.
