I am so happy to hear Kija Brown. I know and heard that he had a book about Wenge that will probably never be realized to due JB Mpiana, Adolphe Dominguez, Werrason and Blaise Bula working hard to prevent it from being realized since he will probably say some more truths behind the Wenge split.

The Wenge episode has to many version. About the unreleased Wenge-album of 1986, I remember that someone wrote on Wikipedia back in the early 2010s that the album was recorded in Brazzaville. But late Belis Mfumu Luvutula saying before his death that it was recorded at Veve's studio. Quija here explaining that it was indeed recorded at Verckys's studio as cassette and when he went to Brazzaville, Charly Noel helping him out by boosting the sound at Studio IAD and make vinyl's, which made him do playbacks on tv-show Video 45 make sense. But at that same time it gave me a headache "aah mutu pasi" (like Ado used to say). Because Papy Kimbi said that he was the person who put Wenge Musica "Bakolo Esthétique" in the studio to record the songs and even made them pressed vinyl's, but the promotion failling since that he was unexperienced in production. I think that even late Belis said that Papy Kimbi financed the recordings of tracks they made in 1986, but I need to look that article. But here Quija Brown says that the Verckys wife wanted to let them perform at Veve Center and put them in the studio to record the 5 tracks. I still wonder why they never made a reissue of the tracks they recorded in 1986 (First version of Kin é Bouge/No Comment Schengen, Laura, Sylvie, Bébé and Ginette)

I'm surprised to know that Wenge was only know in their part of Bandalungwa and the whole area, like other used to say and that it was the show Video 45 of late Charly Noel, where Quija Brown did his playback show made them known. The story made me think about how Zacharie Bababaswe got approached by
'Bana AI' and discovering Extra Musica, and him ending up by invited Extra Musica in Kinshasa for Variete Samedi Soir and them started to earn respect before recording their album. I now also understand why Adolphe Dominguez was mad against JB Mpiana after the spit, because of the way he said during the interview of his 31th birthday,  "There are people that made Wenge and there are people that made their name because of Wenge", knowing how Adolphe risked his life to get in Brazzaville and participate to the second playback show with Quija Brown on Video 45. Really sad how nobody of Wenge Musica paid tribute to Charly Noel. Sometimes I wonder why Congolese artists are almost always ungrateful to people who contributed alot of their careers.
