Surprised to hear that Koffi wanted to get Blaise Element. Was that the reason why he attacked Koffi on tv, when BCBG was in Europe for Internet ? with the confrontation of him against Zobozi, which also led to a 7 months-suspension on tv for both bands that got lifted within a week ? Ironically Koffi gave both gave Sankara and Blaise Element a shout-out in the same period. I guess that when recording Force de Frappe, he probably thought that one of the guys or both would be left behind for the Europe that BCBG and Maison Mère were preparing for autumn 2000 and that he could recruit them. That would have been poison, Sankara, late Zobozi, Blaise Element in one team (adding with Assitou Mbo and Kisindjora). It was a blessing in disguise for Jordan Kusa, because what role would he have if they both joined, because he was mostly doing JF Ifongé role of attacking rivals. The same for Kisindjora. I remember Kisindjora doing an interview, after Zobozi died and it looks like she was still holding a grudge against Zobozi for joining Quartier Latin, feeling like he was trying to steal her role.
Is Blaise Element indirectly confirming that what Zobozi said and also about them being true ? By saying that Zobozi went to far and that himself could never reveal the secrets ? It immediatly makes me think about what JF Ifonge says in his interviews that musicians and spokemen are ready to sacrifice or kill people, because of them being poor and all wanting to go to Europe. When Zobozi passed away, Mbonzo "Centre-Ville" said that Zobozi being the creator of Greco-Romain, but Sankara and later Blaise Bula being lucky to get known before him on tv. But here Blaise Element claiming that him being the person to have created it and being the one that trained Zobozi and Mbonzo. So who was telling the truth ? However, Blaise Element isn't credible by lying alot in this interview the same time.
It's still crazy to hear that he and Sankara were living in the same house, while outside they would attack each other and people taking it also seriously, them also risking at some point their lives when fanatics would try to attack them. On long term Blaise Element did well to stay in Europe, when thinking about BCBG's future ban. But at the same time it was a loss for the controntations against Maison Mère and Quartier Latin on tv, them only having Blanchard Mosaka to do hardcore attacks, but luckily Kisindjora joined. It was also a loss for the war of cars, because the singing-line up (Rio, Chai and Kibens) could not take it up with the provocations and attacks from Baby Ndombé, Ferre Gola, Jus d'Ete Mulopwe, Celeo and Bill Clinton.
I really wonder why he decided to join Maison Mère. He letterly betrayed JB Mpiana and in this interview he's very ungrateful. There were many who worked for BCBG that deserved to travel to Europe in his place. He and Kilimanjaro were very lucky. Element just went to Europe because of being Sankara's rival and Kilimanjaro just because of being Bill Clinton's little brother
