Mbuta Likasu is doing a great job. I would like to see more interviews like these from childhood friends of Ferre, Fally and co. That story of the studio in Bumbu was funny hahahah
I wonder why Bill Clinton never taught during his solo-career to record a generique with his childhood friend Gentamicine. About this guy talking about Bill Clinton. There was a guy years ago I think from Kasa-Vubu doing an interview with Teddy Mola, claiming that Bill was not an atalaku, but first a dancer in Koffi Alibaba's band Interpol and that he became an atalaku in his band, but I don't remember his name. He also claimed that he was the person that gave Bill Clinton the name of Bill Clinton as reference to Tutu Calugi, who had that name as his nickname. The guy also said that Bill was first afraid to watch the public and him giving the advice to just the above the pubic. Bill then later joining Jolino and Royaume Lifaki before joining Maison Mère. Both interviews are confusing me, because the person that get interviewed by Mbuta is talking about the years 1992 till 1995. At that time Tutu was already part of Wenge but didn't breakthrough yet. So did the guy who did the interview with Teddy Mola to join Jimmy Mbonda's words about Bill lie or did Bill already start as atalaku and then stopped to become a dancer for a moment ?
Crazy how Tele Zaire made different footages who are to find nowhere. Would have been great to see images of all these bands back Staff London, Pergola, SVP La Gamme, etc. It seems that Pergola had alot of great artist, who else was part of that band next to Eric Tutsi, Alpatchino, Tutu Kaluji ? Imagine Eric Tutsi joining Zaiko instead of Quartier Latin, singing next to Adamo, Malage, Nyoka Longo and co hahahaha
