French video about how much a concert at Bercy costs and earns. According them it's cheaper to perform 2 or 3 days a row or organising a festival instead of letting perform solo-artists or band for 1 day, due to the investment in materials, promo, stage, etc.
However, when I think the way Congolese artists performed at Bercy, there's a huge difference. Because JB Mpiana, Koffi Olomidé, Papa Wemba and Werrason didn't got any promo in the French media for their Bercy-show, there were just doing it in their community. It's only after the peformance of Papa Wemba and Koffi Olomidé that the media of France started to talk about their show. Apart from Koffi Olomidé, the rest didn't have a special stage.
This all made me wonder if the concertpromoters of their show made profit.
In the video there's also Eric Ballamy of Yuma Production talking, produced Fally at Bercy in 2020 and different French rap-artists as well. Back in the days, when Fally's concert at Bercy was announced, the commbattans claimed that Yuma Productions was of Albert Yuma and they would manipulate other Congolese people with just in order to prevent the show. It's only during the day of the event, that many combattants realized that times had changed, also that Fally had a different public and many seeing their own children, nephews and nieces going over there. After the event, combattans like Odon Mbo would do interviews and say that they have to change from strategy, since that it's their own children going to concerts, because otherwise music would soon return in Europe
