Thu Zahina had band members such as Roxy Tshimpaka, Gege Mangaya, Thierry Mantuika, Denis Bonyeme, and others. The group introduced the system of recording songs that were around 10 minutes long, and they also introduced female dancers (something that is often wrongly credited to Tabu Ley Rochereau)
