There's no artist that performed that much at Intercontinental (nowadays Pullman Kinshasa Grand Hotel) than Koffi. I wonder how much performed there in hotel since 1987. Because each year he used to perform at least 3 times. Inter used to have alot of signifiance in our music, performing there was like you reached a certain level. It's a bit sad that Pullman lost his prestige to Rotana Kin Plaza, Hotel du Fleuve and Hotel Hilton.

Was this concert in January 1998 or December 1997 just after Loi's release ? Koffi didn't return to DR Congo until early 1998 right ?  Because I remember that it was said that he of received death threats from different people of Kabila's regime because of some words like "batunaka age na mwana oyo asimbi monduki te", "ba oyo bazalaki na masasi, kasi bakoki koboma nga te", which they saw as an attack to kadogo's (child soldiers who were fighting for ADFL) and Koffi fearing for his life. He was even arrested for a moment to get interrogated only to be released quickly.

I believe that former spokemen Faustin Djata talked about it once in an interview with Teddy Mola or Ado Yuhe, about Koffi being afraid to return and going back through Brazzaville after having performed in Pointe Noire, while him (Faustin) doing different interviews to defend Koffi and clam the public opinion down

Did Koffi invite Tshala Muana as recognition for helping him out because of what happened ?
