My goodness - this is so sad. He had the most effortless voice Ive heard to this date. Makolo Massiya and Ousmane Bakayoko among others are songs that literally brings one to tears. RIP

I got the main context of this unfortunate situation. Carlyto Lassa was not in either Kinshasa or Paris. He was in Cincinnati, Ohio as he went to a church held by a Congolese Pastor. He was invited by that Congolese pastor to preach and of course sing over there as well.
Here is a video of Carlyto performing at this church. This was a day or two before he unfortunately passed away. He died in Cincinnati, Ohio at 65 years.
