Is there any other top Congolese artist(like among the Big 5 or 6) that is consistent in holding such energetic concerts where vocalists, dancers, and instrumentalists are tested week in and week out to the extent Werrason does?. Even though are sometimes in local areas or villages or clubs, the raw connection with the common reveller is unmatched. If there is any other band that does this, I am open to being enlightened. So why is everyone always writing Maison Mere's obituary despite it being the most active band(IMO)?

Which group is the soloist from ? He has crisp solo.  Actually MM is changing especially with the 3 new young tenorists who are innovative and good locals.

I have been trying to sneak in a young tenorist called Sam Teddy for a year now. He is better than all of the tenorirts combined.

I feel like in Congolese music Maison Mère and BCBG are the ones that by far have the most musicians it’s never ending recruitment. Long gone are the days when groups would stop doing tests because they have enough members, remember when they’d only start doing tests and recruitment to replace band members that left.

Ykb…..on this platform once we decide artist X is bad(our reasons don’t have to be musical, we may hate him because he has a side chick, or because his employee is beating his children), we make it our job to paint everything he does negatively. Imagine if it was our blue-eyed boy doing the daily testing and recruiting: we would say how he is dynamic and offering a chance for artists to showcase talent. But overall, we are all allowed to reveal our bias and subjectivity. Freedom of speech is a human right
