No when people think of classic Koffi albums they thonk about Loi, Effrakata  and his early Tcha Tcho stuff but not Monde Arabe.

In some ways but his career has been going down. The reason for his popularity has a lot to do with his older music such as the Monde Arabe album and others. It is sad but true.

koffi used to be my favorite artist . could sing almost all his songs yet i dont even understand the language. but ever since danger de mort he is not the same artist who could make me sing Washington with him from start to end on playback. maybe it is a change of guard with the likes of ferre and doudou copa singing so well. just take a listen to doudou copa's pondu ya limbondo and u will understand what i mean. koffi's eye or is it ear for getting talent is still undoubted. just recently he showcased his new band in an interview(in his home the guys are clad in red and black) beautiful voices indeed. but will they live to make it to the release of Apotre. had very good singers in BEK they disappeared immediately after, the same thing in abracadabra. why cant he keep these talents for long like he did with the likes of fally,gipson, van brown. modogo, che guevara et al?

Indeed, Danger de Mort was the last proper album because it had a mixture of talented musicians all contributing to the whole work on the album and indeed he did not utlilise the youngsters well starting from the album SWI on which he showcased the new band of youngsters called 'Les Mineurs' right after Fally and company left, he featured them on the song Bomengo on BEK and a few had chance to sing a couple of lines on other songs on BEK and that was it.

This album coming out soon he says is his last so i wonder what he plans to do with the new boys he's recruited,whether he'll just be producing them or what.

I stopped listening to Koffi's music when he played Efrrakata.....Everything else after is bollocks. The best album Koffi has ever done is V12.

Koffi Olomide - Affaire D'Etat

This according to what my consious tells me, is among the best Koffi Olomide has produced. Monde Arabe was avarage to this. Here Mopao was Mopao with all talented young artists like Fally, Gypson, Borou, Solei Wanga, Digital Lola Muana and atalakus such as Brigade and Bebe Kerosin.....I love Lola Muanas song in particular.
