It's hot in Africa buddy,you should see how these musicians sweat when they are dancing. Am sure this wasn't a high profile concert,just one of them weekend jam sessions that all musicians have every weekend at their bases.

its treatable i think but quite expensive,not extremely expensive by their lifestyle standards but i know there are laser operations for it,one of my brothers had it few years ago

Yes it's a vest. Adolphe's trademark when he arrives on stage as ''Le Grand Sapeur de tous les musiciens Congolais'' is to take off his shirt and throw it in the crowd for the lucky fan and he remains with a vest so am sure he must have been on stage already by the time this photos was taken.
