A forgot about this song until I flicking through YouTube, what a song that duo between Ferre and Serge Mabiala damn  , I think we need more compositions like this, I know Ferre loves nostalgic songs in concert wonder if he would interpret this like he does with Maison Mere songs.

Combination of talent. Great compostion by Didier Masela. It would be difficult for Ferre to do such songs with the majority of young singers he's got, he's so much used to rhumba odemba and his musicians are used to modern day R&B rhumba influenced by tcha tcho,only a few like De Gaule and others would be able to intepret such songs properly.

Sly what you said made no sense because it doesn't mater if your 20 or 30 you can do a do a song from the 1970s it's not hard.

Lol the funny thing is rumba and sebene should be so easy to redo especially in concert and your saying it's too difficult for Ferre to do such songs with the majority of young singers they must not be good enough or otherwise congolese music gone backwards how hard to replicate this song it should be easy peasy. 

Jdog and Newside, you probably don't just get my point. The fact is that Ferre has very young singers,a majority who don't know the technique of proper rhumba, only a few probably understand how to sing in harmony and compliment each others voices in the normal rhumba style,it's probably just the older ones like De Gaule,Guy,Vibration and Echappe and others who have inspiration from old times. Echappe though young passed through Viva where proper rhumba is done so that one we can. Rhumba has changed, the young are influenced by modern rhumba, most of the youngsters don't know proper rhumba including some on this very forum. Watch Ferre's concert dvd's and especially the Zenith show and feel the difference when his young musicians sing old Wenge song, their is no harmony, some chaps sing like it's R&B, no rhumba feeling at all.

Sly, like I said you're acting like its hard to learn the technique of "pure rhumba". If Ferre and his group were to interpret  songs from Papa Wendo era they'll do good with a bit of practice because surely no one will know the songs like the would a Zaiko, Madilu, Koffi etc. song. And what do you mean "sing like its R&B"?  Listen to Ferre's first lipanda his group did an excellent job.
