Kene Kene Mangasa is an atalaku who did his time in Wenge MMM from 2004 until 2006, and to me he was really good but really had few chance to shine except  in Temoignage where he had space to perform a little bit of his talent including the song temps perdus where he show the crie that brought him in Wenge in the 4:47 minute until the 5:57


I really felt bad when I knew he left, I think that even though Mayi Ya Sika had a huge success, his impact in the album with Lobeso, Diego and Brigadiera at their finest form would have been huge, like a second solola bien.
What also hadn't contributed to the showcase of his talent is that he came just after Bill so people of course would make comparison between him and Bill a little bit unfairly.

To me is hard to say which one was better, but they worked perfectly when they were making common cries, the crazy fact about Kene Kene in Alerte Generale, is that he came in Wenge when the generique was over, and so he was only able to partecipate on the video.

I didn't really like Kene-Kene, i found him a bad Kalonji-copycat.

The impact of Temps Present was not big, the generic and whole album was a flop. It was the song of Deplick, who saved the album. Albums like Bord Ezanga Kombo, Riposte of Karmapa, Malgre Moi of Kabose & Quel est ton Probleme dominated the charts of Kinshasa that year. People were then claiming that the succes of Werrason & J.B. was over and that the time of G5 (5eme generation) started. Werrason decided then to record a single of  2 generiques to save the album for december of 2008 and annouced a concert at Zenith to test his popularity in Europe. He then released a dvd of repetions for the Zenith of 2008, which had the dance Malewa meaned for that single. The dance was a big succes in the Congolese diaspora and then donors began to call Werrason to get a song in that single. The request to get a song from donors was so big that Werrason delayed the release of the single 4 times and it ended up in being a mini-album with 2 volumes. The release of Techno Malewa, brought Werrason back on the top. The Zenith of 2008 was sold out, despite the threat from combattans. But in the period between Zenith '08 & Malewa, people were still claiming that he was finished and the Congolese music was losing his popularity in Europe with many people wanting something new, tired of their 7 months tours, many concerts not getting filled and conceerts getting very boring . The Combattans where like in end-2006, when Werrason also came, close to start a concert-embargo in Europe, taking the combattans of London as example.

COME ON!!!! mvulusi, how can you say that, he was the oppposite for way of animation and style of dancing from Kalonji, in Ca Sonne he really done his job Ilo Zapata, Tukwenda Dilanga, Kalonge Ji Ni Kalonge Ji, he did so much animation in three albums, and maybe for Kin it was a flop but here in Europe Mayi Ya Sika you could hear it everywhere on the Congolese Diaspora, Italy, Belgium, it was a huge success and with Kene Kene the success would have been bigger.

With people claiming that Diego is better then Brigade. That's also why Brigade worked harder to shine in Malewa.

Diego better than Brigade? WOW some people!! Anyway to me the worst generique ever of Wenge was Satellite and Decollage for the simple reason that in Satellite Brandon tried so hard to look like Brigade that it was annoying and Decollage because except Lobeso and Ambulance, the rest of atalakus made only one or two decent cries in the whole album, anyway I don't know Mayi Ya Sika in Europe has been a success.

I have to disagree because to me they got worse, Werra started to play that game to show atalakus on concert and then to don't make them play on the album. Cinq Chantier wasn't in any of the album released during his time in Wenge (this is why he left for join robinio) and then he started to give the guys with no talent like Bercy a lot of space, and taking guys like Nicodem which was a bad singer and Isipa and Limousine a copycat of Férre just to steal a little bit of Férre's success.

Yes it really was the loss of Celeo, Roi David and Celeo was a big challenge for Wenge but all 4 atalakus did a great job in the song
