This year the concert took place at Symphony Space, which is a big upgrade from the music clubs of previous years.  It slightly smaller than Olympia, but it's a seated venue. I was given front row seats, a benefit of being a friend of the concert organizer, but that means nothing when people get up and start dancing.

Sound was good although solo guitar was not very inaudible. The older vocal lineup selected for the tour is good, but they just lack the energy and dancing skills of few left behind in Kin.

Things started with a local DJ playing mostly Nigerian music, which I found quite odd being it's a Congolese concert. But this shows the current state of affairs in African music. The concert was scheduled to begin at 8, but you know how we Africans are...  I must say compared to other artists, Fally, by far, attracts the most attractive female fans.

Excuse my amateur camera skills, I had to manage the crowd surge and my Misses telling me to put my camera down.

Song selection was predictable: his world hits like Sweet Life, French Kiss, Original, Libre Pacours  #2, and his big rumba hits like Amour Assassin & Service.

Ile de Cambodge, wow...  he's still as explosive as he was when I first saw him live during the Effrakata era. Without a doubt the best drummer in DRC at the moment.





Felly Tyson, it's like could play solo in his sleep; he so skilled and calm. It was a real treat to see him live once again.

All in all, a very nice show. It's nice to see when artists become completely comfortable performing and genuinely have fun on stage.

So they only played six songs? The singers didn't have a chance to do their own songs or vocals? Surprised they didn't have a nice choreographed intro for a big show like this. Actually most of them  can dance and have enough energy given their ages. (Atele solo dance is just him moving around in circles) The only thing missing is a falsetto animator and the F'victeam dancers. It seems like Fally should tour the U.S more often. I should've asked you to ask Fally or someone in the band what happened with Ambassy and Kabuya, but hopefully I'll get the chance to ask them. And the drummer is Arnaud Madruma.

I have also noticed this. It seems felly dimbedi has a quiet nature. About the dancers, i think they should be included in these tours as well

The concert started late, mostly because of late concert goers, and they were told to follow a strict 12am finish deadline. Another issue was the DJs wasting time playing Nigerian music. The band wasn't too happy with the impromptu start, as shown the intro video.

Identité gets the job done, but he isn't too exciting or creative.

Fally is actually thinking of buying a new home in NYC or La since he enjoys being in the states. I think he's leaning towards La since his childhood friends like Mac Deddy and Bombastic na La reside there. The U.S tour is now an annual tour

Btw Matebu thanks for the review, trying to kill two birds with one stone and hoping the show  would start on CPT like last year, I got there late and missed out on the opening. Billy Synthe's presence captured the room now if Fally can get some female dancers...
