What a feat for those young vocalists to go from rigorous testing to performing for Nelson Mandela, Michael Jackson, Manu Dibango, and the most distinguished people in African music and politics

Interesting quote from Koffi that was true at the time

In early 2001, Koffi started to prefer the young and energetic Cambodge who came from Lofombo's Delta force, then he began to demote Champion. Koffi mostly probably saw him as a figure who had gained too much power as a vocal chef d'orchestre; not wanting to go through another exodus.

Then he got the perfect opportunity to recruit Titina towards the end of '01 as his relations with JB became strained. Koffi for years wanted Titina, so he immediately began to demote Cambodge despite his excellent work on Effrakata, allowing Titina to release a solo album as a QL member. Champion ends up going to BCBG, but he did not fit in at all, especially with Sequin who became first drummer.
