When the interviewer mentions Fally and being comparable or an heir to him, he states no.  If he sees himself as being comparable and an heir to someone .. it would Papa Wemba. However, he commends Fally for defending and bringing honor to colors of the flag.

Even these fish brain journalists have always been adding fuel to the polemique fire. Why can't you ask simple,intelligent questions  like " who is/are your role model(s)/ mentor(s)? "who did you see yourself in his shoes"..."who has had a positive influence on you musically and otherwise? " etc.  Everybody is just childish in their approach from head to toe!  You don't have to put words in the guy's mouth.  Let him speak for himself.
Heritier has always been arrogant( I keep saying it)  right from his Werrason days. And that is his own cup of tea.

heritier is not a baby. he's only a few years younger than fally. they want everyone to bow to fally now? lol fally himself has influences too, lest we forget. i love fally but come on now. questionne bete vraimant

 the problem is that abroad except in eastern africa where they rate other guys of fally's generation,he is the one who people refer to more easily in terms of young musicians of drc who did great after koffi and the wenge guys
so they tend to link pretty much every young guy to fally,and thinking about it seriously i think wata is a bit confused by the fact he has to do PR as its in french so he has to play it safe for his own image,if the same interview was in kin that interviewer would surely have been blacklisted
however back on comparison with fally and with wemba,obviously for the "international" career papa wemba was a model for fally and among all that generation of ex big group members fally and heritier have always been the rare guys being into "think big" so its kinda normal that they are compared or likened and both of them had the model of papa wemba to inspire themselves

The boy Heritier is too big headed but he has a point. His style on most songs on his first album are in the style of Wemba and to some extent Ferre's.
The guy though a solo artist did not try to go it all alone on his album like the other young musicians including Fally and Ferre did, he assembled great talent and his singers had great contribution on the album. That is what Wemba used to do, sad JB Mpiana whose idol was Wemba doesn't follow suit.

that's something else. anyone would be glad to duplicate his success. but that doesn't mean he's mirroring his musical style. they come from the same generation and spent considerable time under the tutelage of living legends in the music they do. let's not forget fally has influences too
