Le Jour le plus long is the last really great and satisfying Congolese album, in my opinion. It's an exposition of perfectionist Kester's above and beyond attention to detail

I must've listened to this song, Matadi, Face à Face, and the générique a thousand times

Indeed, there are very few artists today who take the time and make the effort to deliver such quality.

In my view, Lingala Music may be in danger of deterioration due to this phenomenom.

Most albums today are very hurriedly done, and a lot of  attention and care  is not put in teh effort, maybe due to the need to roll out as much quantity as possible to maximise on income and make as much money as possible.

Purists like Kester, Papa Wemba, Tabu Ley, and others as a dying breed.
 

Voila, the Olympia Show 2008 is a clear testimony of how good the man was on vocals,very clear!
