well guys thats just my opinion, but i have the feeling people are taking heritier  on the bad path
and i will start with journalists, unless i lost memory ever since congolese music exists i have NEVER ever ever seen a musician have such a big number of journalist clearly behind an artist, yes werra used to have a lot of journalists behin him back in the days of rivalry as opposed to jb who had on his side the hot tempered djo k and the laid back lolo milolo and 33 tshitenge, yes we have seen koffi play with most journalists like toys as he is friends with most tv owners, but what i see with heritier is beyond ridiculous
you have freddy akimbe and ken mpiana who support him openly because they were his classmates in the past, gabbana basele because they are from same quarter, the very very controversial carine mokonzi, comedian and journalist adams luzolo, djo k ,patsho rfi and his always much praised spiritual contribution...pretty much majority of the most popular journalist of internet are  pro him
and thats a bad thing  because the guy is naturally over confident and arrogant,he needed press to remind him he still has a long way to go but what we are seeing is journalists clearly attacking people for him, forcing people to do interviews mainly about him, openly disagreeing when somebody replies negative about heritier in their interviews....whereas the guy needs advice
yes his  long career and popularity for a 34 year old guy make it look like he's been into solo career before even starting but thats not helping him to make him think he is already up there
those journalists even tell him that now in drc he is above everybody bar koffi and have started a  campaign against ferre and fally, some even threatened deplick because he replied to an attack of heritier's staff and it almost lead to a fight recently as deplick despite his calm nature is no pushover at all
the other person i fault is heritier's fans, yes bein a fan kinda makes people blind but come on,the guy already has loads of very very agressive fans and they are also treating him like he is already up there
fally ferre  fabregas did not become who they are with press almost throwing their lives on the line for them
lastly, heritier who i have always liked as an artist must remember that the "worst"thing for an artist is expectation, yes hype motivates fans and so on but its much better to go slowly and surely, many artists have killed their career like that by setting it very high for them straight at beginning either through the big quality of their hits or their attitude and this is what i fear for wata
retirada has not got the reception it deserves for that, lets say its a 8 out of 10 album people expect a 15 out of 10 album with all that hype and arrogance whereas he could have gone more quiet and surprised people like fabregas did to make his breakthrough

Your saying is the complete truth I agree as I like heriter a lot but one thing I would advice you to do is talk him in person if you see him this related subject would get him to reflect. 2016-17 the state of our music is destroyed reasons why I like Heriter is simply because he proved himself in the dream-team maison mere and he still has crazy potential but I'm afraid too.

Spot on archos I've never liked heritier's arrogance and cockyness even my cousin went to school with him and sometimes bumps into him even says he's become too arrogant he needs to get rid of the yes men around him

The problem is that heritier loves yes men sometimes he is with friends or his employees and he'd go talking for hours and you have to shut up and listen or he is quite rude to stop you from argueing with him
brandon recently said that sometimes he'd come at rehearsal then go on to talk and talk and talk and boast and they'd not even rehearse at the end of the day
heritier is the type of guys living with that mix of "i came from the ghetto you know what i mean" mentality and that cockyness of some people who reached a decent school level so have a superiority complex
its always embarassing to see how journalists are so wowed when the guy pulls two three french proverbs in press conferences or a bit of latin which he studied at school and how proud he is  when he sees that

My grouse is the fact that people lose their heads in the name of being fans and begin to worship these artistes. Where I am coming from, you don't hero worship artistes(people in general). If they do well, you praise them for it, if they do wrong you should be able to tell them and call them to order. That is what makes you a fan but it is not so with Congolese artistes .
You will read some fans' comments here on the forum and you would be like:..." for real?!"....You will watch interviews with artistes, it will be full of childish and empty bragging with unnecessary arrogance. This is not in any way helpful to these artistes please.
That you are feeding me does/should not make you my god. I sincerely hope and wish people would stop worshipping these artistes.

Since we are airing opinions, I'd rather one be themselves than put up an act just to appease...

There's also this guy; giving Héritier a very overinflated sense of importance and blinding him from the business side of things (album sales and actual profits)

It all falls into the established pattern. Is it only me or does this blog ever post anything positive about Heritier? Is he that bad? Just as is the case with Ferre, Koffi and Werrason. Does this post ever post anything negative about Fally, Deplik, Abraham et al?. It is something I have noticed that there are some artists that whenever a post is made about them, most contributors always look to demonize starting with the author followed by his fan club. There are artists who only appear here when there is something to be praised about them and whenever you try to point out their negatives , the same fan club will always try to sanitize. That is democracy for you but my training never allows me to be a yes man in a herd and I just wished to say it. As they say in my part of the world.....I already have a helmet on , the stones can start raining down!!!

I think in showbizz you have to be able to create your own hype and Heritier has been able to do this with a lot of ease and success. So many of his seniors and peers have not been able to achieve the kind of hype that Heritier has.

But besides the hype, he's got to be able to back himself up with some solid product. Personally I expected so much from Retirada after all the hýpe but from the much I have listened to I remain grossly unimpressed. Just the same same music that everyone of his lot is doing. There's no "Eureka" song like say Manda Chante's Socrate.

The hype s good becaue it helps an artist catch the attention of his market, the music lovers. But it's the product that will help him sustain the hype. Otherwise the hype will soon become empty talk and nobody will pay attention.

My two cents

Exactly my thoughts. I personally am a fan of Heritier from his days in the dream team maison mere to when he became the main man behind Le Roi De La Foret even though his arrogance was already there for all to see. With the hype that Retirada generated before it came out am grossly unimpressed. The songs sound monotonous for someone of his talent.

brother symplicity since i am the author the post (and i had a fanclub which i did not know  lol) let me reply to you and no need for helmet lol
in the same post i said i am a fan of him for over a decade and that retirada got a 8 for me,i am bit sad that you did not notice that just because there is criticism
coincidentally the recent times i have seen you popping in like that happened to be in my posts but i dont believe you have anything personal against me but just let me tell me tell you that the goal of my criticism what not to bring heritier down but rather to make sure he puts himself in the best conditions to become bigger and he has the potential to be bigger but with my modest knowledge in music i have seen many guys not reach their potential because of the conditions and their attitude and thats all
remember the post i did about koffi central,i am almost certain you also took it as a negative but there is a sentence which summed it all up " koffi's know-how and workrate is undisputably proven so if he relies  on that and nothing else his project will succeed"
guys like deplick and abraham are not getting much criticism for now since they are in the breakthrough period were there is not yet too much crazy focus on them, wait  when they'll get bigger i promise you they'll get more positive and negative criticism
the perfect example is fabregas, between 2014 and 2016 i think  zero post about his attitude and co simply because the problem did not exist...
trust me i have never ever ever posted a "negative" post about somebody without taking at least two weeks to think think think
i do not wake up and say oh i had a shit day let me trash this or that guy to vent my frustration
as for fally i believe he gets criticism aswell but its not because somebody says he thinks that fally is targetting the so called" world music" which causes  him abandoning a bit the kinshasa music that it means he rejected the criticism or that he finds excuses for him
lets not make confusion between emotional posts and  posts with some facts or "facts",the result never is the same
