Haha, oh man the way CHampion completely mocks Depitsho’s existence (39:24)-  so glad it’s been reuploaded  ;D ;D

Depitsho was getting slandered all across the board, from Bouro Mpela in Academia to his former bandmated in Quarter Latin  :D

Did you like Savanet Depitsho's contributions to Attentat? Did you feel like he should of stayed in Quartier Latin or were you happy to see him go? I liked his voice, granted his dancing and looks took him were his meal ticket but he had better chemistry with the group on this album then Droit De Veto.

Maybe it's best that he left, because he wouldn't of sounded good on Effrakata and the albums after...

Great song selections! My favorite sebene songs are Number One and Cameleon; each members gets to display their vocal strengths in limited spacing and the instrumentation (specifically bass guitar & drums) are top-notch quality!

As for rhumbas, my favorites are Boda-Bodack, Malanda Ngombe, and Sans Anesthésie.

From a subjective viewpoint, i really like depitcho’s voice and i liked his contributions on both albums droit de veto & attentat. But he wouldnt fit in effrakata.
I feel that, even there is some good stuff, attentat was an album made for 2000 new years parties
And to tunt academia (with the fact that, the singer have more vocals than previous album) and rivals. Songs like number one, victoire, kamutshima, cameleon, nul n’est parfait & malanda ngombe make me think that he would made a « Magie II » because its really sound like a koffi & quartier latin’s album wich is not especially bad.
When i hear songs like non assistance, attentat, boda bodak, sans anesthésie, im telling myself that, thoses songs were prepared when sam bouro modogo & co were still in the group.
But the fact that this album was average, make effrakata more powerful.
I rode somewhere that in the « force de frappe era » koffi tried to convince do akongo to come back in ql, is that true?

Koffi prepares his songs of his solo albums always on the same time when Quartier Latin is working on their group album. He was promoting Non Assistance alot before Droit de Veto. Sam Tshintu, Modogo, Depitsho, Bouro & Babia used to sing Nul n'est Parfait together. There is a video of them singing it before their concert in London. Koffi gave his singer alot of space to prove Wemba's fans a point. Since that they were always that he wasn't giving his singers a chance, etc.

What do you mean by the phrase "lose his head"? Did Mustaha suffer a nervous breakdown or lose his voice because of the spiritual attacks? Whatever became of him?

Now that I about of it, all of these new members that worked on Attentat never lasted long with Koffi. The following members of Quarter Latin didn't join the group to perform in Bercy of 2000:

Spino Nola, Sarbatino Batracien, JF Ifongé, and Chikito Mutakatif. What happened with these guys? Why didn't they join the others? Did they have a falling out with Koffi or did Koffi fear that they would not return to Kinshasa after Bercy?

JF Ifonge was there at Bercy but only danced in the intro and sung 2 songs that day. He didn't participate because he was in jail until 2 days before Bercy which made him miss alot of rehearshals. There was not enough place to bring them all to Bercy. Koffi had already 10 singers selected and 4 guitar-players. Which made guys like Spino, Sarbatino, Chikito, Soleil Wanga, Fofo le Collegien, Janvier Okota, etc. the list is long being left behind in Kinshasa. Yes he was thinking that some would run away in Europe. But they all rejoined Quartier Latin when they returned Kinshasa. Except Jamvier Okota who went to Wenge El Paris, Chikito who went to BCBG's PPU, Do Akongo who started his solo career and Beniko who would be recruited by Academia.

Yeah many times until 2005. But Do Akongo was still refusing. Still being angry the way Koffi left him behind in Kinshasa for Bercy and he was sure to succeed in his solo career. He was then working on his solo album and recruited musicians like Atshuda, Eboa Lotin, Bidjana, etc. But he wasn't getting a visa for Europe, since that someold made a false story. Saying that he was a criminaliteit, which made the Schengen House refuse to give him a visa. So Do was blocked for years in Kinshasa, which made him sell songs to Werrason, etc. and his bandmembers leaving one by one and problems starting.

Spino and Soleil Wanga never had a chance at Bercy in 2000, because their dancing was not good enough to join the others.

I was shocked when Koffi picked Ridens Makosso over Do Akongo to play rhythm guitar, clearly Akongo was the better guitarist! Why wouldn't Beniko Popolipo be the first guitarist approved to join them in Bercy? He created a lot of the guitart melodies for that album

That’s because koffi was angry to the fact that he dropped an album with bouro mpela, somono & kester’s features.
I think it was a clue to humiliate him. Spino had great vocals in attentat, i wish him & mamale could be in effrakata & also sarbatino (effrakata or affaire d’etat) because he has great originals dance skills & we never had the chance to really hear him in a record.

In 9:27 we can hear his supposed vocal on bilan & he dont seems to be a bad singer. I mean not bad as jordan lool so i wich he could appear on affaire d’etat like paparazzi.

He isn't the best he's a bit of a faux chanteur if he doesn't use his voice properly

I mean he aint sing well as babia, junior, modogo, deo brando or montana but nevertheless,
His vocals are still enjoyable, like depitcho, or even koffi himself (sometimes), in my opinion.
