What is the reason is it that leaders of the 5th generation and the already proven doesn't like to be directed by them ? Is it about the payments ? Or is it age ? They made topnotch albums even guys like Aimelia & Montana or artists who were totally unkwown. I tought that his Sec's son Leny Bidens would follow his path in arranging topalbums, but it is so/so. He mostly works with Fabregas and I believe that he arranged Heritier & Djino's album. He also worked with Claudia Bakisa until they broke up with him then promising on facebook and snapchat that he would kill her career and Claudia trying to make him jealous by posting video's and picture with Fally. I didn't really listen to her album since that her song are mostly about sex. I think that she already left F-Victeam. Fally doesn't really put effort in his music-label, but I heard that Anita Mwarabu will release her EP soon.


Looks like this album was recorded quickly and that the album wasn't really prepared. I think that the songs, were songs that he wanted release in the future on Defao's bandalbums. I guess that he needed money quickly. Back in the days it was easy. If  you was a little bit know as an artist, you could present your project to a musiclabel with them giving you 20.000, 30.000, 40.000, 50.000 as money.

Maestro Souzy Kasseya, Sec Bidens, and Rigo Star collaborated on Papa Forme’s (aka Esperence Fula) album released last year. Also, the same teamed for Gloria Bukukutu’s album released a few months ago. Sec also had a hand in Modogo GFF’s latest album.

Laurent Kadogo also arranged Héritier’s album, so the 5gen haven’t forgotten about the greats

I always wonder how those artists were able to record classic albums with all those people in the studio. It's not normal. I remember that Papa Wemba's album Nouvelle Ecriture had to be recorded at Studio Bobongo, but the presence of those people were pissing Maika off with him deciding to stop the recording and re-start it in Brazzaville. Flamme made an interview in the past with a Belgian journalist, saying that it was pissing him off, espcially that Werrason wasn't paying him and crediting as arranger in the credits of albums.

Those artists don't want they are doing. Now all those albums are souding the same with acoustic-guitar and those poor drumsound in rumba's if it's recorded in Kinshasa. In the past I used to love acoustic-guitars in rumba's, but now I'm hating it. With claiming that they are the best , claiming that are the ambassadors of rumba and the professors, etc.. If they listen to Madilu's Bonheur & Pouvoir, they will stop claiming that. I remember how I regretted to have spent my money on Fally's Power and how long it took me to like that album. There's not album that took me so long to grown on it like Power even Boite Noire didn't me so long.

Screaming already basila or if they aren't know, saying oyo nani lisusu. Alot of artists produce better albums then Werrason, Koffi, Ferre & Fally. Even back in the days there were alot artists who recorded better albums than those based in Kinshasa who were hitting the topcharts.

Yeah, those albums are fantastic, but the general public isn’t listening to or even know about it.

Remember, recording an album with live instruments is increasingly expensive, time consuming, and requires several weeks of preperation to compose/rehearse the songs.

With the rise in technology, you can shave off expenses by reserving live instrumentation to generique while programming music (drums, percussion, even guitar licks) through a computer.  The artist have gotten lazy and cheap with their production, which have forced producers to cater to their needs...mass production means cutting corners.

^ A lot of artists have been building their own studios and want to prove a point by doing everything in-house, including personnel. Some of the products have been ok, many have been straight garbage. No motivation from artists to be at their best surrounded by paid yes-men.

The personnel are also amateurs compared to Sec Bidens, Maika Munan, Djujuchet, Rigo Star, Al Nzimbi, Philipe Guez, Manu Lima, and the many other greats sitting idle.

Yeah all those generiques recorded in Studio Ndiaye by JP Kys since 2005 have all the same guitar and drum sound. I saw this year Gode Lofombo indirectly attacking him & Maison Mere in an interview. Saying that there is band who fabricated their own sound-ingenieur/arranger who didn't ven had experience in the music-scene and that, that is one the things who are killing the Congolese music-scene.
