If he's looking for a good producer, why not David Monsoh? They've already worked together on the album Soyons Sérieux. Monsoh has a history of producing eclectic albums for Koffi Olomide, Fally Ipupa, and others.

Maybe he should consider spliting the cost of music videos and promotion with the producer, because to tackle a venture where the producer bears the brunt of the financial risk is a huge request.

He needs to he able to negotiate, or those albums will never see the light of day.

I said what I said. I was living in a normal world, just cause mpunda was a success doesn't make a whole album great, SS was trasj trash the sound was awful.. it's by far the worst bcbg album

You are crazy, Nono Fudji song was great, even the other generique were on point especially the seben with Cellulaire and Bin Laden and what about Chai? Mbua was huge

i get what prince is saying the sound is inconsistent  some songs had great sound some had decent some had ridicilous sound for a group of bcbg standard for example loniatara or ficarre's song

The mpunda-dance was a huge succes before the release of the album, but the most people were dissapointed when the generique came out after dancing it a year long. JB Mpiana himself wasn’t able to promote the generique well because the censorship-commission forbad the dance before performing at Dock Eiffel. It forced him to record olingi Lola to Lifelo, which killed already a big part of the promotion before even releasing album. Then 5 days after releasing Soyons Serieux, the combattans-hype came with people not even focusing to the album. With people more talking about the future elections Kabila vs Tshisekedi, the cancelled concerts of Fally & Werrason in Europe, the way they were following members of PPRD in Europe to beat them and interviews of pro-PPRD against the combattans. People appreciated the rumba’s Gros BB, Etoile du Berger & Bolonia, but the promotion of the album wasn’t done well. People didn’t even know other songs and generiques of the album while it was a good album. This all created even a conflict between JB Mpiana & David Monsoh. With JB in his opinion finding that David Monsoh didn’t spent enough money to promote the album. There were made various articles about Soyons Serieux not being received like it had to be (Kongotimes, Digitalcongo, Congomikilu, etc) and people finding it strange while back in 2010 it was the most waited album.

 ah yeah indeed i forgot and the licks he played at the very end was on the song jb did for amida on chemin de fer which was called mon paradis(hence the nickname mama paradis),that song would have definitely become a classic a mix of classic music,a pop chorus a salsa transition...with zero mabanga(it was a typical kibens song with all his "craziness" lol)

I don't know too much about the business relationships in congolese music between artist and their producers; in that regard, I'm an outsider looking in. I just noticed that David Monsoh had good albums to his producer resume, like Droit Chemin and Effrakata so I was like "why not him?".

I didn't particularly enjoy Soyons Serieux, but I thought that album was troubled in recording because JB Mpiana was taking too much time assemble the album. Didn't he make the generique at the last minute in London, while touring. I could be mistaken. We mostly can agree that the album wasn't good, but it was well promoted through the dance and cries.

That was with Kipe Ya Yo in 2006. With them wanting to record that album of in UK when those problems with the combattans started. But they had then to return quickly to Kinshasa and Kipe Ya Yo then being delayed to 2007. They recorded the generique and the most songs of the album in studio-Ndiaye in Kinshasa.
