this video inspired me one question guys which style do you think is "nicer" solo guitar wise, soukouss or sebene/ndombolo/ngwasuma or agwaya like heritier's 5eme vitesse
I remember someone telling me that Marie Paul wanted him to join El Paris but Aime Buanga refused back in 1997-98.
This album made him go the Russia, Qatar, Oman & the French West Indies (Martinique, Guadeloupe & Saint Martin). He was on the way to become one of those Soukous-stars. He could have made a big name like Awilo Longomba, Kanda Bongo Man, Dr Sakis, Aurlus Mabele, Diblo Dibala, etc. But he decided to go back to his roots with Engombi.
It's a good Aime Buanga refused he was really motivated to start his band despite the short success.

All his albums flopped and people started to mock him. I remember Sai Sai mocking him in the JB-vs-Werra movie. Until he decided to stop with his music career and become a producer.
