I will not lie growing up it was my favorite atalaku in Wenge since at tge Bill, Ceelo time I was too much little to understand roles and so on.
And unfortunately he also confirms he have searched Marabut for having power and love by Werra, but he only did it to protect himself because if you don't protect youeself you are in danger.
He said he was taken in the house along with Eboa Lotin by Elliot Mondobe so he consider Elliot as his second father and he calles him Papa because he have treated him like a son. He was tested with some of the best atalakus in the post Bill Era. Dvd, Goldberg, Roi David and Brigade and he said that it was an heavy test because they had to replace Bill a guy who had a voice who could go way high in octaves. Even the guy who is with Robinio now (I don't understand if he speaks about Showman or Cinq Chantier, I think is Cinq Chantier) was tested, the crie he was tested with was the one he put in that weird song. Temps Perdus the crie was "Nalingi naloba" (I want to speak) and then he says that most of the cries were strutctyred by Kapaya in the music side and sometimes even by Ali Mbonda who secretly gave a lot of cries to the movement. He came when Alerte Generale generique was over in fact he only appears on the Alerte Generale video for some second. and even though Roi David had a crie on the generique he managed to add one on Miss Margo seben: Eiwe, Eiwe (a crie about the recent departures in Wenge) and the reason why the cries of Bill in Miracle and Celeo 8n Alerte Generale seems the same it is because Celeo took all the cries of Bill and strong of his recent authority following the departure of Bill sang all the cries in Alerte generale except Fwengi.
90 per cent of atalaku came with cries already prepared in homes for example Kene had his own personal guitarist, and some friends that were writung for him the cries, sometimes some cries are created in home, sometimes are staged in the stage
Capucino, Miel De Son and many others and Ado Yuhe asks what happened in the Cappuccino test. Kene answers saying that he has a problem of accords lol and said that in the test of Cappuccino there was a guy from N'Djili who were singing great, but since Aimelia and many other friends Capuccino had and maybe because Cappuccino is lightskin Werra took him despite his problem with voice. Miel De Son was a pire petit of Lacoste, but Miel De Son wanted to take the spot of his friend Lacoste behind his back. And regrets his times because when he was there there was a kind of respect reciprocated, but now especially after the famous Kakol vs Miel De Son incident he wonderatood that something is broken.
Temoignage
Wow. I am astonished by the way this generique was created (this is my personal thought) l. Anyway he says that since Bill made a crie about a Chinese with the Marquis L, Kapaya called him and Celeo and created that great guitar lick at the beginning saying to them that they must create something ti counter attack. They only made cries but the rhytmic was made by Kapaya.
For making trips especially on the spiritual side was difficult because maybe the same person you were eating was the person who were trying to unsettle you to make you leave behind and he says that those who only count on spirituality should have focused more on the work side and try to sing better but he won't mentuon any names. Especially if Werra really likes you, you will have troubles. He admits that he did witchcraft because he wanted to go to Europe and he wanted Werra to love him, but he did it only to protect himself and to attack other people as other guys do.
He remember with great joy the Kora and the concert whi were about to happen in Kinshasa with Shaggy whom have refused to perform due to security issues (Kulunas and Mbilas who were chasing themselves) and they actually got beaten up because fans were way mad, he actually escape the beating because he exchange the clothes with a guy.
The only guy he had problem with is Lacoste who were refusing to leave the microphone when the Seben was startingto give his infinite Mabanga, since this was happening a lot Kene Kene got fed up and took the mic from Lacoste receiving a punch in the hips, and Kene Kene answered back and Lacoste finally gave up the mic.
He was bothered a lot that he had to share the Animatioj with the new comers Brigade and especially Prince who kinda slick is way into the animatiom department since he was taken for being a dancer, but the day after he got took for the dance he said that he can paint, and he painted the face of Werra then the next day he said I can even make the crues and he made the Amen and Amore crie who got into Sous-Sol.
Despite the factof having 5 animateurs hating each other in a bad way being left in Kin when the Europe trips came, and many other (12) made by Wenge, the thing that really bothered him was the fact that the crie he actually put a lot of effort making N'Susu wanwanga Masa wan'tolo Kuzulu wasambila Nzambi e, the next day was given to Werra by Roi David and then he wonderstoood that Wenge wanted to get rid of him, and he was upset because it was about his documents. Him, Kojak and Capucino were kinda disciplined by Vieux Rodjani and he knows that Werra got people that told him that if Kene Kene will go again in Eurioe he will get a Mokanda (document) to stay in Europe and leave the group. And he was really hurt by the crie he nade beibg given to Roi David, because the meaning of the crie was that the chicken drinks with his head high for praying God, so a crie with strong message, but Roi David once asked about the crie gave a weird answer. He thinks he has beaten everyone kn Sous-Sol because he gave Pijon and Ballon plus the stolen crie of N'Susu wanwanga Masa watala kuzulu wasambila Nzambi, he didn't want to create problems but he had to say it because people didn't know that was his crie. He can accept orchestre leaving him in Kin, or in Europe and founding things against him, but he can't accept people cancelling his cries because in those cries he gave 5 Mabanga to people whom he had good relationship with and fed him money too, so that it is what really hurt him.
This is why he left and since he have seen that he couldn't work with other 4 animateurs.
Talking about Prince, Kene Kene says that Prince do not know how to animate, he is his pire petit, and yes they took him in Wenge but to replace Teka, but as an animateur he doesn't know how to make it. The only thing that got him far in the movement, was the special relationship with Werra. And despite being one of the best atalaku Ken was fed up with being left behind in the trips and being stolen a crie.
He can accept to fight with Brigade but not with Prince since Brigade is a real animateur. Prince knows it too. Is because he had to had papers that he got left.
Brigade was never his problem since Brigade had a problem with Celeo. And he really can't have beef with Brigade since Kene Kene is a second voice type of thing while Brigade is a 1st voice like Celeo.
He thinks Prince messed up a lot the animateur section not Brigade or Roi David or Celeo.
He thinks he got took by Werra not because he was looking like Bill but because he had nerves.
He left Werra because he felt that he was having limited space and he stayed in Angola for 6 months by Mamadou Waricho and in Kin he created a group that is still there.
He said that he never got paid by salari month after month but after 3,4,5 sometimes even 6 months you had to be able and smart to build up your relationships

Hahaha Prince will not be happy with this interview. I'm sure that will attack Kene Kene strongly. About which so called friend was Kene Kene talking about, Roi David ?

So if I understand well Bonbon Kojack wasn't left behind for Taddet doing nkisi on him, but just of Werrason not wanting Kene Kene & Bonbon Kojack getting papers in Europe ? But why did Werrason accept it later with Brigade, Miel and Heritier ? I used always to believe WMMM false stories, saying that Kene Kene hadn't engough cries and that he ran away because Roi David, but it seems not to be true. I remember Koffi Olomide offering Kene Kene to join Quartier Latin some months before Gessac joining QL, with him accepting the offer, but Kene Kene then not joining after getting threats from Maison Mere-fans. Back in those days it was almost impossible to live in Kinshasa if you were against Wenge Maison Mere (as musicians, spokemen, journalist). I had always some big difficulties to accept Kene Kene, because I always saw him as a bad copycat of Bill Clinton. I started to accept him when I heard Primus Changement de Frequence and Temoinage, but that vision came back when Brigade & Prince joined and hearing those stories from Werra-staff saying that he hadn't inspiration anymore when they came for that 2006/07 tour. They came with the same stories to in 2005 to get Celeo out the band, letting him then not participated to the song Werrason made with Benji & Mpassi, but it didn't work since that he was animating the most in concerts with people not believing them.

That story about that kuluna with that policeofficer at Stade des Martyrs killed me hahahahaha. I heard that Shaggy was very angry and said to never return back to DR Congo. The show at Grand Hotel Kinshasa was already a big problem with Shaggy not wanting to go on stage because of him not being paid with Werrason quickly paying him a part of the money. But the press didn't talk about that problem (Werrason had at that time 80% of the press in his pocket) and said that the show was fantastic. foreign artists (USA, France, Jamaica, etc.) in DR Congo had always been a big mess since Jimmy Ciff & Kassav.

Celeo, Kene Kene & Roi David was a good combo, with that solid defense (Papy Kakol, Ali Mbonda, Coreen Polystar, Thierry Mogratana, Flamme Kapaya, Mimiche Bass & Chevignon Synthe), he didn't have to recruit Brigade & Prince. But it think that it would been interessting to hear them Celeo, Brigade, Prince, Roi David on the original Temps Present. Did they already record generique and finished the album when Flamme Kapaya left ? Because it was meant to get released mid-2007.

there was a temp present generique by celeo on his own almost, with a kinda similar start to what himself did in nzoto na nzoto but it was never fully finished because kapaya started to be fed up with promises not respected
i think it was both, knowing wenge from the inside i can tell you that when you join there are people who will tell you,you know what if you want to travel and get advantages target this or that person, even before the group starts to send you on 12 to them,so they already go to sorcerers with pictures of the guys or whatever related to him to directly start competition for that place
it has changed a bit now where people do it in hope that the list get bigger and they find a place,in those days it was that even if you can near death one day before trip so that they win that spot(with possibility of putting photo of somebody on another's name) they'll be happy with it

Yes, I remember Flamme Kapaya skipping studio sessions and sabotating Werrason's worldalbum by not participating to those recording sessions along with Celeo and Werrason with his staff being very furious and planning a big 12 against them and Heritier in case that they would return to Kinshasa. But  apparently nothing happened to Heritier. I spot following Maison Mere when Celeo left, being also pissed of the way Heritier, Kakol & Brigade were dissing him on tv until Techno Malewa came out.

Man, that would have been a big buzz if Flamme Kapaya returned with Maison Mere and that multi-neck guitar (Madame Jacqueline) to Kinshasa. It would have boost Flamme's succes even more. Those departures really weakened Wenge Maison Mere, but people weren't seeing it because of Werra's succes. Thierry Mogratana wanted to copy him by returning in 2009 also with a multi-neck guitar calling it Jesus Christ, but nobody paid attention it and him leaving the band when they went to mix Techno Malewa.

Kene Kene said that Prince came as a dancer in Wenge Maison Mere and that he became a animator when they were in Kinshasa. But why did he do animations when they came to recruit him in Cabinda (Angola) ?

Maybe there are some extract of Celeo singing in what supposed to be Mayi Ya Sika maybe?

I guess Fimbu which he animated towards the end. Because he used to animation it sometimes back in 2006 and also in that little tv-concert Werrason made with Jacky Ndala (to react against Koffi).

Prince can be upset all he wants, but Kene Kene's story seems to confirm a lot of suspicions as to why he quickly was sidelined in Masion Mere. Outside of Sous Sol, does Prince have any memorable moments? His contributions on Temps Presents was weak, Brigade and Diego Cao were the song's saving grace.

As for Kene Kene, he was unwise for letting Werrason's fans spook him from getting another shot at a career with Quartier Latin. Gessac and Hono Kapanga were never legitimate recruits, they were simply being used as tools to bring Felix Wazekwa to his knees during the polemique with Koffi.

What surprised me was how Thierry Mogratana never really shined as much I thought he would of as a soloist for Werrason the way he did for Wemba. Remember, this is the same guy who was doing these types of partitions:

He wasn't sidelined because he was almost killed by Papy Kakol and his friends in France after performing in Lyon back in 2008/09 when they were touring and recording Techno Malewa, being then abandonned by Werrason and nobody visited him in the hospital, that's why he left. With him then back many videos on youtube attacking Papy Kakol, showing then also his ex'girlfriend of mixed race. He started to work on his solo album who came out in 2010, but I forgot the name of it.

Everybody danced on his crie "Muana oyo nabota na maman muluba" et "mon chapeau" who were really apreciated back in 2008. Hahaha Brigade saving the songs's grace, I don't know if you witnessed when the album came out and the months after it. But people started to call Brigade a "faux animator" saying that he did nothing special and came with nasty cries (Lidusu), praising the Diego Cao and Lobeso (who became then the best atalaku of 2008). People were then claiming that Diego Cao was far better then Brigade and that he had to give him more space. That's why Werrason changed his tactic and let Brigade only animate on the end of Techno Malewa Mecanique and giving Diego Cao then alot of space. It went then in Brigade's adavantage and getting his trust back from Maison Mere-fans with that Sima Ekoli-crie. The thing also happended to Heritier, because of his two songs not being well received like excepted and people claiming then that Deplick was better then him because of the succes of Le Representant and Deplick profiting from Heritier's absence who started to miss rehearsals because of troat-problems.

Thierry Mogratana didn't shine, because there was a man called Flamme Kapaya who was the main solist of Wenge Maison Mere, who was doing wonders in that era. When Flamme Kapaya was in Europe for 2 months or something like that and almost to leave Maison Mere for Quartier Latin, Mogratana took his place, but wasn't able to show that he was better then him and didn't do something special (except Kora 2005). He had even difficulties to cover songs like Heritier Itele. Then when Flamme Kapaya decided to leave in 2007, he became the main solist of Maison Mere, but wasn't impressing fans and then stayed in Europe for longs month to get his papers after perforing at the SFINKS-festival of sept 2007 with Yannick Noah, which made Christian Solo "Airbag" of Operation Dragon (2nd team of Maison Mere) and who started to share the solo-role with him, getting his place quickland fans loving him. Then when Thierry Mogratana rejoined it was already to late.

from 4:06 min, Christian Solo officialy presented as the main solist of Maison Mere at Tshangu. With him promising that he would never disappoint the Wenge Maison Mere-fans and not ran away in Europe lol.

Thierry Mogratana never really conviced me in Maison Mere. I was him more seeing as a mi-solist. I think that some underground lead-guitarist was giving him sebenes when he used to be in Nouvelle Ecriture. Lambio Lambio and Dady Bola used to attack him often when he decided to leave Nouvelle Ecriture for Maison Mere with Dady Bola claiming that he taught Thierry Mogratana playing guitar in Masina. I found it already strange that they decided to give the Somo Trop-generique to Dady Bola, when Thierry Mogratana was around.

Mogratana didn't like the way people were prefering Christian Bombele above him. He could never mention Christian's name in interviews properly (keeping saying mutu wana) and claming that he made the Techno Malewa-sebene.

from 3:54 min

I never understood what was going between Prince d'Angola and Bill Clinton Kalonji

Dady Bola may have a point, because Mogratana was nineteen when he joined Wemba. That's very young for a guitarist to take on position as a lead player, especially with more experienced guitarist like Ramazani and Bola around.

Remember, even Kapaya was getting help when first joined Masion Mere. When he was assigned the role of lead guitarist during the recordings of Solola Bien, he was given partitions to interpret before he gained the knowlege and confidence to create his own with Kibusia Mpimpa and so forth. Maybe Mogratana never gained that confidence to create his own, but he knows how to play...if that makes sense.

Christian Solo should of stayed in Masion Mere, everyone after him were Kapaya photocopie. Since Christian, every single soloist lacked a distinctive signature that we enjoyed from Wenge's previous guitarists so they immitate rather than create which is why the music hasn't been as impactful.

If Deplick had the more popular songs, why hasn't his career been as impactful post-Wenge than Heritier? I never thought Heritier was that great of a singer, he just had good dance skills and the look women like.

Dady Bola is younger than Thierry Mogratana he was 17 years old or something like that when he joined Nouvelle Ecriture in 2000.

Christian Solo prefered to stay in Europe to get papers when they came to mix Techno Malewa volume 1. So they recruited Kimbangu Solo and Rodriguez Solo to replace him. I was seeing Kimbangu Solo as a better solist than Christian Solo and was excepting alot from him on Techno Malewa Suite et Fin, after seeing his test at La Zamba Playa, FIKIN 2009 and Zenith 2010. But I was very dissapointed when I heard the album. I found it also strange that Werrason didn't release the mecanique-version of the Suite et Fin-generique

I didn't say that Deplick had better songs than Heritier. I said that people that back in 2008/09, people started to claim that Deplick was better than Heritier because of the succes of Le Representant (btw it isn't even Deplick's song, but a song credited to Linda & Gisele) and Confession Intime not getting the succes that people were expecting from people. It was because of Heritier hyping to much about the song like it would be the best song in the world, before the release of Mayi Ya Sika, being then the last musician of the dream team. I guess that you know what often happens to people when they don't fill the exceptions. Heritier started to get respect back from people after Techno Malewa vol.1 with his song Par Amour which was better received than Confession Intime while people excepted that Deplick would confirm his succes with Champgne Mitterand which was also well received but didn't had the same succes like Le Representant. With the eyes of people switching from Deplick to Fabregas, because the succes of the song Diego Music which was the biggest hit of that album.

Deplick could have been far in his career and better then Fabregas, if he stayed in Europe, after Stade de France to live with that skinny girl in Brussels who used to work with Congomikili back in 2012, to get papers and work on a solo album. He used to have a big fanbase in Europe (only girls lol). He was one of the musicians that the combattans were looking to beat when that phenomenon started, just because they were hating the way girls were following him.

I remember when I was 15/16 or so a female friend of mine being so hyped up and happy because Deplick  sent her a friend request and talked to her, seeing how his career went, it is crazy that he didn't develop into a Fabregas

That is why I always point out going solo and succeeding is not guaranteed.
