This made me understand why there’s alot of silence about Defao’s double event at Stade Tata Raphael. They are renovating the stadium until end-october. I don't understand why they didn't try to put the event at Stade des Martyrs. Defao has really a bad management and over a month he's going to Europe. He missed a opportunity to have filled a big stadium of Kinshasa in his musiccareer, because the hype is now slowly dissapearing.

Imagine if Defao had a good staff behind him all these years??; he'd be in a much spot.

Poor decisions like releasing the same album under multiple labels, band management, and etc have really held him back

When I say things people in the forum should listen. I have said that

You said that his album would flop and that his time was over if I remember well.

But I'm talking about here about his stadium-event. He could have filled Stade des Martyrs easily last month or twice Stade Tata Raphael if they weren't renovating the stadium, because everybody was talking about him in Kinshasa and he had a big crowd when he arrived like the way they received Jean Pierre Bemba, Marin Fayulu and Felix Tshisekedi. But I still see him still have succesful VIP-concerts in Kinshasa at Rotana Kin Plaza, Showbuzz, Village Chez Ntemba, Hotel du Fleuve and Pullman Kinshasa like Koffi Olomide, Zaiko Langa Langa and JB Mpiana who have public of a different category and who can't find themselves in the music of Fally, Ferre, Heritier and Fabregas. The way how the old generation in the 90s couldn't find themselves in the music of Wenge Musica 4x4, Zaiko Langa Langa and Quartier Latin, going then mostly to Lutumba's Bana OK.

from 2003 Congolese autorities did everything to block concerts of popular artists at Stade des Martyrs, because the last one of Werrason created alot of damages. Fally & Ferre didn't had a huge fanbase at that time to fill Stade des Martyrs and before 2014 nobody was thinking anymore about Stade Tata Raphael because it was abandoned and even became a ruin at some point until that the Fifa decided that Dr Congo had to renovate Stade Tata Raphael and even Stade des Martyrs which also became dirty.

The thing that was boosting those mega-concerts at Stade des Martyrs (1999-2003) were those big events at Zenith & Bercy followed by long Europe/USA-tours of 7/9 months, the competition about how filled the stadium better then the other and having mutilple fanclubs in Kinshasa who would promote the event and hype people up. But from 2007, Congolese bandleaders didn't tour very long anymore in Europe, they were then spending just 3/4 months max in Europe. 

JB Mpiana and Werrason had a big fanbase in Kinshasa, they were then spending like 7 months and some times even 9 months in Europe which made their fans miss them alot. So when they were returning they were always getting a big reception from a big crowd during their arrival and they were able to fill Stade des Martyrs. But Fally & Ferre were not spending a long time in Europe after those tours. Fally Ipupa for example returned immediatly back to Kinshasa after having performed at Olympia in 2007 and Ferre Gola did the same thing when he performed at Zenith in 2010. If they were doing the same thing like JB Mpiana and Werrason by staying 7/8/9 months in Europe with their bands after those events then I think that they would have easily filled Stade Tata Raphael multiple times, let alone YMCA and little Stade Cardinal Malula (ex Stade 24 Novembre),but Stade des Martyrs would have been to much. Maybe from 2012 if concerts were allowed in Europe in those years.

Defao had a big chance because hadn't returned to Kinshasa since 20 years, people missing him alot and that myth about Joseph Kabila. But he missed that opportunity.
