because he is also surrounded with people afraid to confront him, some of the donors have songs or their songs at home already so they are cool but its fans who are worried and pissed
mr simon is back with him but i doubt he has the same power on him as in the past where he was really under simon's direction
the three guys who could say something to him (alain mpela, caludji and titina) are not there(although tutu comes his authority is nowhere near what he once had)

Not even Genta? I though Genta was a guy who could tell him somethimg

In many ways, JB Mpiana reminds me of Dr. Dre and how their mythical album that never comes out to the annoyance of their peers and fans lol

BTW, is Dre still working on Detox? We've been waiting since forever lol.

Was Paty Molesso referring to their inability to get Visas during the ngulu affaire as them being "down"?

he can but he has his limits in authority, maybe he had the chef d'orchestre role it would be different and as you know in clan wenge when a musician says something to the leader which is for the good of the group and the musicians  there is always another who openly confronts him to show he is loyal

With down I mean that they weren’t on the top anymore. Because they though that they would return on the level they 2000. But Anti Terro didn’t really get the succes that they excepted. It was a succes, not like the previous albums. People being also more into JB’s songs, the one of Bikou & Bogus then the rest of the album. Some others missing Alain Mpela and other complaining about the quality of some songs and that real power was missing.

I see why some people stopped supporting him, this guy is full of fake promises, Chemin de fer Was meant to be released 15 years ago? Wow
You didn't know that? It was even originally meant to be released in 2002/03 when Alain Mpela was still around.

yeah he is obsessed with what he sees as "perfect conditions" which were to record it fully in europe in some studios who are closed now by the way, you can even see the perfect proof with his recent teaser, none of the artists from  koffi to bebe boudchou would have done that, releasing teasers with still nothing 4 months after still waiting for the perfect moment
even with trips abroad,3 years since plans of USA canada but still not the "perfect conditions"
All these excuses man, I feel for BCBG fans.

Dre's last chance to release Detox was during the whole nostalgia craze brought by Straight Outta Compton movie, but he decided to release that compilation album instead.

Unfortunately no journalist has been able to get the honest truth out of him,its always either they avoid the most tricky questions or they push him into a situation where he has to defend himself through bad faith which leads to some of his fans, some fans of clan wenge in general and obviously fans of rivals ripping into him
the perfect scenario for me would be an instagram or facebook live where he'd discuss peacefully with his fans and open up clearly, the status quo has been very very detrimental for his image, the amount of guys i saw ten years ago in youtube comments who were hardcore bcbg fans who are now with fally koffi werra and co is impressive

Do you think he's worried that the album won't live up to expectations after the years of waiting? It could be the reason why he's been dragging his feet, because nothing worst then having fans wait for mediocrity.

If you get too comfortable, your spot is up for grabs. This music thing is competitive. JB Mpiana should know this better than anyone else

jb took himself out of the competition(while still being seen as into the race strangely enough and luckily enough) from the moment of the protests of fans against older artists, nothing has ever been the same since, its like there is a disconnection between him and the fans since him stopping public rehearsals, and the fact his concerts in kin have not really changed much in terms of reasonable crowd( i say reasonable because for everybody the era of super crazy crowds is over for now due to the crisis) is a smokescreen for him to assess his career properly, you can pull any criticism you want at jb himself, roger, seguin, mosaka they'll tell you but we have 80 concerts or more in kin in the year, nobody performs more than us
he was about to remain competitive with the rise of the generation of fudji djino abraham but took two step forwards for ten backwards and here we are

And yet he's lost his hunger already. As a musician who matures, there are two ways you can lose your hunger.

There's resting on your laurels once you've hit your prime, resulting in you making music of variable quality, and then there are all the wasted opportunities that could've really helped you in your career. JB falls in the latter category. Compared to his grand frere from the 4x4 days and Koffi, he's hardly taking his music moves seriously.

JB Mpiana had an opportunity to become the leading musician in Congo after the split, he was the image and the leading voice of the band, had a successfully album and inherited the majority of the musicians including the name BCBG, while Werra was figuring out his next move, JB had a contract to perform in Europe.  But as Mpela said recently that Werrason was the chief strategist of the band and he even credited the idea of Pentagon  to him, Mpaina is a musician who need someone to push him to the levels that he is capable off. He needed a great Manager to manage his career and guide him just like in US where musicians have managers who are chief strategists.
