wait so if Brigade didn't say that stuff during that meeting of Quartier Latin along with Koffi, Oncle Reece and the staff about Droit Chemin, he wouldn't have missed his trip to Europe?

This is confusing. I thought 13ans was authored by Serge Mabiala. And Didn't Dolaine Masengu say he wrote part of Ferre's mercure.

That part about Gessac celebrating his first salary was funny. It inspired a whole cri "Cest Le moment". So Cultura Pay Vie salary eza te?

Question: what led to Big Star musicians being arrested in Kenya during their 3 year long tour of Africa. I wish Ado didnt limit the interview to just one major orchestra for someone who was in two big groups.

mabiala its blandine i think,i dont know why but dolain gives me the impression like few of them to have come to ado's show to make buzz
there was salary in cultura just that  most of the admin were wazekwa's brothers and cousins and they were keeping the money for themselves a lot plus gessac's situation in cultura changed 6 months before he joined latino
for the kenya thing must be hotel issues many groups faced that,i d even say all the big groups of then faced it and it happened in for example the cases of bcbg that alain mpela paid for the whole group thanks to guinean donors

I see. So its a case of fraudulent promoters. Was it the same case with Victoria Eleison DTDB where they'd been forced to do odd jobs and night club performances to make since they had been abandoned by promoters.

The problem of Defao was that he signed a 1 year deal with a Congolese promoter to tour 1 year long in the USA. So he went to tour there with Kabose, Montana, Pecos and co and profited to go to Canada, U.K. & Switserland when there some void with those tour days. But his musicians then all left, because they refused to tour in Uganda, fearing that they would kill their families or never come back to Kinshasa, since that DR Congo was in war against Uganda and Rwanda. After that Defao ordered his staff in Kinshasa to recruit musicians in Ngiri Ngiri and bring them to Kenya where there was a remaining part of Big Star staying who were waiting to join Defao in Usa, to continue the tour. Defao in meantime went to France having some concerts there and recording Nessy de London. Then he joined the musicians in Nairobi, which was since 1999 their new base, waiting for the visa's. But they weren't getting them since that the tour-promoter had problems with his partners who were furious that King Kester Emeneya didn't the respect the contract they signed with them (the time that he went with Guy Moller, Mbuta Bass and Zoe Bella there and abandon them there without having giving a concert), which made those partners lose alot of money and not wanting to work with him again. So the tour promoter tried to look for other partners, to get Defao in the USA and short the issue of visa's out. After months waiting in Kenya for visa's, their workpermit expired and they got arrested. After that they got released from prison, when they received help from a donor and they went to Angola, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe (If I remember well Defao got arrested multiple times in Zimbabwe and Kenya in 2002 & 2003 about visa's, workpermits and not paid hotelbills). It was a horrible time for Defao and his musicians. Mbetenge who was back in that era also Defao's musician, talked about that once I met him in Paris.

Loool just look at Kibens he's an easy target the way he talks, dances, even sings. He's got a look about him that you can't help but roast him, and especially he doesn't really reply back loool

lol jb himself makes fun of it,in one of the reunion/parties of bcbg that fally attended(and seguin and kibens were reluctant to salute him) jb openly said "ehhh kibenga ca va hein ofulama hein soki esimba te mais balobela te"
and on the odd times kibens gets on his nerves  he tells him in front of the rest "oyebi que bino il faut bosenga nga merci le seul leader oyo atelemela public, soki ozongi palais osambeli olobi merci  nzambe merci mukulu"with jdl shouting "ouaiiiiiiiiiss leader tres important" :D :D :D
if God allows one day i will film a bcbg reunion since they'll never do it themselves, its so funny, less of blatant conflicts than in maison mere for example but quite some drama too

Hehehe. I would love to see their facial expressions when told that. Surely Kibens and co  ain't at all shaken being mocked like that.

But why did King Kester fail to honor his contract?
