He, Eric Tutsi and CNN didn't deserve to be left behind in Kinshasa for Zenith '01 & Effrakata. Mamale would come on another dimension if he particiapted on Effrakata, back in those days he and Champion had alot of fame. I noticed that musicians of QL are often left behind or leave when they are about to go on another dimension, first Willy Bula who was on top after Magie and got left behind for V12, Babia Ndonga after V12, Depitcho who leaves after Bercy,.....

The story about Zingeti Le Raskaback paying Mamale and co when doing those rehearshals in Koffi's absence before Bercy killed me hahaha. Congolese bandleaders are big thiefs. 500 ff is now like 76 euro so rehearsing 3 weeks (5 days in a week) would made them get 1140 euros in total, if Koffi wasn't stealing that money. What made Zingeti Le Raskaback exactly leave Quartier Latin during the Europe-tour of Bercy?

About those cars, I remember in 2002 or 2003, Lola Muana went to sell his cars to a woman (he wanted to pay a house), but Koffi then becoming furious and getting those cars back.

Fally and co are big hypocrites and mitema mabe man. I was shocked to hear when Mamale said he was the only one to accept Montana in the band when Koffi asked to QL-members what their opinion was about it, he same for Bouro where only Champion, Mamale and Binda were agreed. I remember Koffi asking Mboshi to rejoin Quartier Latin back in 2004 when CNN left and them not having a tenor-atalaku anymore, but Fally and co all refusing accepting him back,

He said he started music in a street band in Bandal, and was in a group accompagnment with guys like Bouro, Celeo, Jordan, Sunda Bass, Serge Mabiala. He was approached to join QL in '96 and he didn't really do a test to join he arrived the same day Mboshi was doing his test and Bouro arrived of couple days after him. He arrived during the time Koffi and Wemba were releasing Wake Up, and the group were preparing Ultimatum and Loi. He was left behind for the 97 tour, but he didn't mind at all since he was new so he took the moment to become a better singer and learn more songs. He was selected for the Olympia tour and the Droit De Veto recordings in '98 which they prepared in Kin and the rest in Kenya since they went for a tour but because of the War they were unable to return whilst their were other members that were supposed to come on the europe tour but were left in Kin for the Kenya tour. He performed at Olympia at the age of 22 and for him he found it relatively fast for him to go on tour, since there were so many musicians in QL who were there for years that never got selected to go on tour let alone record albums. He also said that Zenith wasn't the same structure as Olympia and it was more of a celebration and they carfed more about filling it and their hearts weren't truly in it. As we all know Academia was formed due to musicians being upset over the pay and the final nail in the coffin was that concert in germany where they did a 12 on Koffi by performing Coucou, Ngobila, fouta djallon before Koffi made it on stage. Koffi was so furious that he refused to speak to them and even left them after the concert so they had to figure out how to leave on their own. When Academia was formed Koffi was so down that he became sick for a while, and they were preparing Bercy with the new recruits and they cared more about filling the hall then putting on a good show but it was still a legendary show. For Mamale out of the three halls Olympia will always be the best show they did, and when they arrived for Bercy they started rehearsing without Koffi and a member of Koffi's staff started paying them 500 without knowing the system, and when Koffi found out he was horrified. When Bouro wanted to return to the group Koffi got the entire band for a meeting and all of them refused except for Mamale, Champion and Binda Bass, and Mamale was the only one who wanted Montana to join them but by the time Montana arrived Force de Frappe was nearly done so Mamale gave up one of his vocals so that Montana can at least have one (then later Mustapha left which made Montana replace his vocals), During the tour Fally and co wanted Mamale to ask Koffi to buy them cars to counter Maison Mere and BCBG and Koffi agreed but there were some members guys like Lola who didn't give a damn about a car and all they wanted was a proper salary instead. He also briefly talked about his time in Viva Tendence and said he was appraoched to join since Papa Wemba came out of prison for the ngulu affaire and needed a new band to play at Zenith. Papa Wemba was more like a father whilst Koffi was like a big brother and he could talk and laugh about anything with Koffi. He has a song coming out with Heritier soon and he called Heritier personally to participate and Heritier came two days after, the song is for Abed Achour.

Yeah personally for the Zenith 2001 I would have left Chamberton behind and brought Mamale instead, looking back it was pointless bringing Chamberton because he didn't even appear in the Effrakata clips and left not too long after. I feel like Depitcho left QL too early but at the same time I think Koffi would've found a way to get rid of him if he returned to kin with the rest of the group. Yeah I couldn't believe that they didn't want Bouro and Montana in the band in the beginning they made QL stronger by going back to Kin with them. Thank God Koffi isn't easily influenced like someone like Jb

Chamberton came freshly from Europe, being also the brother of Floriane Mangenda who danced in the past for Koffi and later for Zaiko. Chamberton came in, on the moment when Koffi was looking for a way to humilate Eric Tutsi.

Koffi was furious at Eric Tutsi who asked him for money to repair his car, after that it got vandalised by shegues when performing at Cinemax. Because back at that era Koffi was in war against the shegues, after that their friend died when Koffi hit him by accident with his car. So when Chamberton joined in, he was humilating Eric by forcing Chamberton to sing Dulcinee in his presence on stage at every concert.

I think that Mamale would have gone to Europe if Deo Brondo didn't join. Because their voices are a little bit similar.

Did you prefer Mamale or Deo Brando? Personally, I believe Mamale was the complete package of an artist while Deo was relatively shy but talented performer

Koffi didn't leave behind Bula in Kinshasa for his popularity or success, but was Bula's own fault, in this time Bula was deep in drogue (I am not going to much about this). The same thing Babia was in drogue Koffi even locked him to get him clean but didn't work.

Ask anyone who knew Babia or Bula personally they will tell this, these musicians never tell truth the only thing they say was not their fault but the boss didn't like them for some reason. Koffi loved Babia and Bula very much you can see it back then, when Koffi love someone he cant hide his sentiment.
Koffi told Bebeto (RIP) to leave QL because of Bula, so between these two Koffi choose Bula, but didnt do the same thing between Rossette and Suzuki because he loved both of them very much he didnt want to chose.

FYI Suzuki was more famous at the time than all the musicians of QL, Suzuki was like Ferre in WMM.

To quote, you brother. I think the same. disappointing on how he didn't  participate in Effrakata. That story about the ndulists being against Bouro coming back, and Montana joining. Was cold to hear, honestly. Just like Mamale said: ba musiciens ebele bazalaka ba mitema mabé. He's right about that.

According to many former QL-members, Willy Bula was left behind at beach ngobila, because he slept with a dancer which made Koffi furious. To punish him he brought Eric Tutsi instead of him while people in Europe were waiting for Willy Bula because of the succes of Petit na London. Willy liked drugs and it became stronger when he was left behind. The same for Suzuki who was using coke and other stuff in the era of Ultimatum, Magie, etc. Babia didn’t use to drink alcohol and drugs, but he came in touch with it when he was released from prison, starting to team up with the Bana Ndjili living in Paris who were selling it and giving him. Then when he came back in Kinshasa, he started to become addicted to it and his ex’wife (who’s now an internet journalist) started also to use it. Back in the days he was the biggest star because of the succes of his song Amen and his vocals in V12, coming then back from Europe after spending a year there. So that succes went to his head and he started to miss rehearsals and come late, which didn’t please Koffi. Koffi already punished him in Kinshasa by saying that he wouldn’t get a song in Ultimatum and then Bouro Mpela âme who really impressed Koffi. To punish Babia, he brought Bouro instead of him, Babia decided then to go to Anti Choc who was also about to go Europe. But Koffi influenced Bozi to not bring him.
Back in the days people starting hating Babia for the way he attacked Nyoka Longo on tv (wanting to react against Rosette Kamono) and Adamo.

That behaviour is normal especially in QL, When Depitcho joined most guys didn't want him to join, when Modogo, Champion and Mboshi were contacted to return musicians didn't want them back either especially Asso and Tshe Tshe de Balle as they knew if Modogo and Champion returned they wouldn't go to europe. Mustapha tried to return Jipson made sure that didn't happen, When Bouro returned Ferre left right after. Mirage joining we all know Soleil tried to unsettle him which worked, and when Joss and co joined the Mineurs and other experienced QL members didn't want them in the group, Tonton Lay and Tshe Tshe de Balle weren't wanted in the group since they came from Academia and we obviously all know the entire group were against Ferre joining. Lol as Archos said Congolese music is jungle and its all about who can survive every man for themselves.

Yeah especially since it was during the time when both groups were in hot conflict hence why champion didn't last either. I tried to ask about his time in BCBG on the live but they didn't read my question.
